For me, this game has nothing to do with the 'best' weapon, but which weapon 'does it for you'. Which one gives you the most laughs, thrills, enjoyment, etc... not just killing competence.

Gotta vote for the AP, if I could only have one gun my trusty sidekick would always stay there in my pocket. As for the bat, I simply prefer the more slender elegance of the golf club when it comes to full-length melee weapons.
