Ultimate Weapon Elimination Game

During this game I gave some thought to possible future games, as they've been going on so long that I'd feel lost and empty without them, a hollow and fragile shell of a man. Not really but I would miss them.

 

We can go down the route that we are on now which is to think of a new game each time, which is all well and good until nobody has any decent ideas and we end up doing "Favourite Cloud Elimination Game" by which point the barrel has been scraped so hard the spoon has broken.

 

Then there's replaying older games either due to them having multiple new additions in their category or just for the hell of it. I feel like I've been doing these games for years but there are several car games that took place before I got involved so they'd be relatively fresh.

 

Thirdly and potentially most interestingly there's user content games. There's basically an infinite amount of content for these, just look at the Rate the Car Above and Draw My Character threads. There could be car competitions from different categories, best photo competitions, character rating ones, all sorts and all user generated. It could step on a few toes, specifically those of people who host vote based games not in the elimination style but there's obviously a tonne of content out there to get stuck into. The recent Forum Member game was a good example of how they would go down.

 

We could always have a "favorite elimination game" elimination game where we eliminate the elimination games that we least enjoyed eliminating things from.

Well, You know what.

It's been about 2 days since last game ended, I'll post the next in a few hours and then we can figure out later if I should stay host for future games, or if ikar3CON should be host (if he wants) or if someone else should be main host or if we should just rotate between people.

I myself wouldn't mind being the one who host them all, I like it.

I'll pass on hosting this game. I still have a big role in the flow of things thanks to the graphs and keeping scores/voter issues in line (as it relates to said endeavor). I've been consistent with this for quite a while now and plan to do more for future games. I will host again, just not right now.

 

I've been under the impression that we have rotating hosts and that anyone* can host at any time. I wasn't a member of these games during Josh.exe's reign so I missed the concept that it should always be one specific person. I don't think that's really beneficial, to be honest; I prefer fresh blood every now and again. But it's helpful in the face of inaction, so there's that. I do think that the job of host should be someone who's played these games alot and knows the scores and the rules. I don't think any ole random should come in an host. But if you're a regular and you know the game, I don't see the problem.

 

Under this idea, whoever has the most enthusiasm to host can do so. I considered hosting this game, but saw Khaisz' hype for the job and didn't want to take that away from him. He's a good host and runs these games excellently, knows the game well, etc. If we do go forward with the "only one host for now and forever" idea Khaisz would be a great candidate for that role. I just think that we should always have the hosting door open, game after game.

I don't have a stake in what we play next, I just hope it's subject matter that will attract new people and won't feel like it's dragging on. Nacho Z and Icantthinkofonew mentioned ideas to think creative and keep building on the concept and it's something to keep in mind.

The way it was before when I joined somewhere in middle of the car eliminations, was that Josh always hosted the games.

Because he started the games, and he knew how they was being run and if any issues came up, he could always solve them because he knew what the rules was and he was also fair.
