There are many intense moments and battles out there in gta online but which are such moments when you are battling in free roam or a job and your controller died and you got pissed off? Share your moments in which your controller died and what was the conclusion did you end up losing or winning?

Controller dying??? PS 4 tells you like a million times it's about time to plug the controller in. Plus I charge mine when not playing, I dislike not being prepared...

Had it die on me in the middle of Pac Standard heist when i was nearly at the bikes....... needless to say by the time i'd swapped the batteries over i was dead Which reminds me, i really need to invest in one of those play and charge kits......

Sounds like i missed something I use rechargeable energizer batteries (xb1 elite controller), are you telling me i can just plug a usb cable into it and charge as i play? Jesus f*ck, my n00bness knows no bounds

On Xbox when it says "Controller Batteries Are Low" it turns off literally 10 seconds after. You think you have about 10 minutes at least but nope. Got on my nerves so much, sometimes it pops up, I got to plug the wire in and it's already off. Now I just keep it wired with a cable permanently

I've never once had any issue with using my PS4 controller via my PC on GTA 5 until today.

 

So I'm in the middle of the Pacific Standard Heist (luckily with my Heavy Suit on) & I volunteer to go get the car while everyone else waits at the bank. Controller keeps disconnecting & reconnecting as I run to the bikes but it reconnects so quickly it doesn't affect my game play too badly.
Then I get to the bikes & it disconnects for longer while I'm holding a frag grenade. It reconnects just long enough for me to throw the frag & get away. I head to my house but due to the reconnections it takes far longer than normal.
As you can imagine my team are getting worried/irate by this time.
I'm in my garage as the controller completely gives up. I quickly Alt Tab back to the desktop & reconnect the wire. No joy.
I then try the Bluetooth option. All that does is start up my PS4. So I pull the power cable out the PS4 in order to try to pair it with the PC again. Controller pairs....but still doesn't work with GTA 5. Crap!
By this point my team assumes I've got stuck & commits suicide restarting us at the bikes.
I decide to try to use the keyboard and mouse. How hard can it be???
Team pull up in the Kuruma. Crap I don't know the button to get in the car. Cops are shooting at me. I'm panicking pressing every single button on the keyboard. I eventually press the F key by accident while I'm in red health.

Thankfully Google is my friend & while I'm being driven to the boat I look how to enter/exit vehicles on the Web.
Mission accomplished thank goodness!

What about intense moments after warring with other players and you are killed, then immediately after you see that stupid feed where everyone left (and it's really you lagging out) and now it looks like you raged quit?

I learned my lesson long time ago, bought the longest USB wire I could find & kept the controller plugged to the Xbox permanently .... Stupid batteries.

I see 4 jets in the sky so I go ahead and get one myself and proceed towards the 4 in the city. Everything is going very well, I managed to take out 2 when I noticed my controller light blinking. Normally it does this at 2 bars of battery left so I thought i was fine for a bit. I take out one more of the jets and as I'm behind the last one about to finish off the fight.. My controller goes out... In the few seconds it took to turn on, he had already gotten behind me ( i was flying straight up when it went out) and as it turned back on he killed me. What an intense and epic.... Fail. Lol

The only interesting story I have about my controller dying on me while playing GTA was when I was approaching Roy Lowenstein Blvd and I caught a glimpse of the the boom gates going down just as my screen went black and was told to connect a controller.

 

I don't know exactly what happened next, but based on the burning wreckage that was my car (wasn't actually my car, I "borrowed" it from a friendly NPC who was stopped at the traffic lights) and me no longer being in it I'm lead to believe I took on the freight train and lost.

 

That's my story. I still haven't learnt to plug in the controller before it dies completely. I think I'm just lazy...

two guys on my friends list driving up and down the middle of the bridge by the base. i hear the driver ask the other guy why and he says just keep doing it. a few minutes later you hear him complaining that the controller died when he was so close. the driver asks close to what. the other guy says that driving over the bumps on the bridge makes his controller vibrate. the driver had been vibrating the other guys junk the whole time and the controller died right before he could...

this happened when i first started playing on ps4, this console have the worst battery life i have ever seen, anyway im having a nice battle with this dude, he killed me and got into a jet

so i when on and got into my jet and start chasing him, i finally catch up with him and start dog fighting, twisting and turning im finally lined up for the kill and and... my controller died and i crashed on the side of chiliad.

 

the controller died just 15mins after the lonely warn. on the ps3 i could play for over an hour once the low battery light started flashing and could play for 16-20hours on a single full charge.

 

this PoS ps4 controller can barely go 4hours before it runs out of battery.

In a race with friends, I was involved in a tight pack of about 4 or 5 cars when the thing died on me. I wasn't too happy about that, since I'd just got to a good position to catch up to the leader. It was all just fun and games, but I was understandably pissed.
