I need to add in as well, some of the numbers that Stu Pidasol posted are wrong. To fill up a large warehouse it would take 111, 55.5, and 37 runs respectively

I am wrong, i signed on to change stuff but not that. Those are purchases not trips needed to bring in the crates.

I did mess up multiplying those purchase numbers by the 2:1 ratio that I have collected so far. When single pickups of multiple crates are considered:

111 x 1 = 111

55.5 x 1.33 = 74 trips

37 x 1.66 = 61 trips

Not as good but still a huge advantage buying 3 at a time if youre in a quiet lobby and are able to collect them.

Are u alone in in lobby and order 3 crates u still need to do 111 trips to the warehouse. So u lose time and money to order and collect 3 crates.

But if u got help order more crates at time.

All large warehouses sell for 2.220.000

I tracked type of purchase with price and if it was single or multiple trips to get the crates. Pointless because a full warehouse always seld for the same amount.

The only factors are:

Purchase price per crate

And

Crates per trip average

A full warehouse will sell for the same amount, yes, but the profits will be different based on how many you purchase at a time.

And what I'm trying to do is find the efficiency point. And to see the trends in profit margins.

It depends entirely on if you can buy triple crates and pick them up as fast or faster than single crates.

To illustrate:

Full large warehouse filled with triple crate pickups sells for 2.2mil minus 666k price of crates = 1.54mil profit over 5 hours to fill (for sake of argument and easy math)....comes to roughly 300k of profit earned per hour

Full large warehouse filled with single crate pickups sells for 2.2mil minus 222k price of crates = 2mil profit

Basically if doing it with single crates only takes you any more than 6.5 hours to fill then you are making less than 300k per hour....

Equally important is that doing 3x as many single crate pickups means 3x as much risk you will need to spend for perks like ghost org or personal vehicles destroyed or whatever.

Just to throw this out there, according to the communities average delivery time, it would take 22+ hours to fill a large warehouse 1 crate at a time, and, assuming you had help, 7+ hours to fill it 3 crates at a time.

So if I understand you correctly Cali. your trying to weigh how much time you put in for how much money you get paid to determine how many crates it's worth to have before you sell right?

Well im on board. I dont have enough time in the day to grind anymore (took me 5-6 days to fill a large warehouse)

Sometimes the three crates spawn in a truck, you dont have to travel three times but one. It save a lot of time for doing so.

Yep. That and I had a bunch of questions that could only be answered this way. Like how is the pay increase per crate implemented. Is it a percentage? A series of stepped increases? Is the increases linear? So far I have those questions answered at least up to 42 crates.

I have noticed that some items more often are in vans than other. Narcotics is more often three seperate crates, animal stuff too. But medical supplies more often is in a van.

Doing the 3 crate runs by yourself damn sure takes more than 7 minutes on average, once you include the time going back to your warehouse to relaunch. My average there is approx 9-12 min, I think 11 is the mean, so approx 6 3 crate runs per hour.

Stu Pidasol

Average delivery time will depend on knowing a few things, I did all my math assuming a solo CEO.

-how often does one delivery happen VS 3 individual crates to be delivered

-how long to reach your office from that warehouse to start another purchase.

-solo? Or with help?

Well for the first most people says its 2/3 ratio

and for the second one I personally don't think it matters. there is a 5 min cool down my warehouse is near the northern center of the city with my office by the beach and I normally still have 2 and a half min to wait before i can start a new run

and for the third I say let assume solo for now

not sure if this will be good money but i bought a second warehouse have a medium and a large 1 iv been buying 3 crates and filling them both simultaneous when one gets a cool down i buy crates for the other etc, by ur numbers ill see il be out of poket like 800k before i sell but i was thinking of selling every 200k or so so that would be 400k every hour or so which is basically like farming pac standard

Don't sell before 25 at the very least. Try to hit 35 before selling though, so that you'll be at 17k a pop...

so if selling a full large warehouse gets you $2,2M and a full small one $240K, how much money you get selling a full medium warehouse ? and could you replace the warehouse once you buy another one ?

I've read "$2.2M" from those that reached it and I haven't seen a screenshot yet to confirm which total it is

This help? and im sure most people drop the 20k cuse its easier/simpler to say 2.2 mill

Also skip to 5:38 to confirm at the end of the delivery

That'll work for me *updates post*

Makes adding that last crate worthwhile

1-88 I can vouch for personally. 111 was confirmed by a video posted here.

Other scattered numbers between 89-110 I found around the Internet (many players use imgur) and the pattern of $250, $500, $750, etc. in consistent in the 60's-100's with 110 concluding the pattern and 111 reaccelerating the curve at the end

The level at which is 'best' really depends on whether or not you are a solo CEO.

The main focus of the whole system is about risk, not money or time.

You can be a great player of GTAO or games in general, but all it takes is one full sale portion to go wrong and you suffer a loss of all the time you spent collecting that portion of crates, and the cost of all crates you ever collected gets averaged up.

Personally, for a solo CEO, I declare the best level to sell at is somewhere between 50~54 containers. That is to load a large warehouse with that many containers and sell them all at once, as opposed to filling the warehouse @3:1 and selling 56 (the medium sell)- the risk makes it a worse play imo, even though it's similar due to getting less money sooner.

Buying @ 3:1 will always be faster, but it's more risky- As is doing a max sell for 2.2m. You will have less trouble buying @ 2:1 and selling in the 50~54 range, as the NPC attacks are determined by the amount of crates sold at once, rather than the Min/Mid/Max sell options.

The buying missions do appear random as to whether they are split shipments or not, but there's a tilt towards single vehicle pickups, I see it at about 4 out of 7, some may even say 5 out of 7. This was done to make buying @ 3:1 more tempting and worthwhile.

Honestly I see only a mild gap between a solo CEO buying @ 3:1 and selling a full 111 crates at once, and a solo CEO buying @ 2:1 and selling 50~54 crates at once.

Say we use the figure of 54 crates (crate for crate comparison) - thats 18 trips for 3:1 buys and 27 trips doing it at 2:1. The latter will take a bit longer, but money saved during the buys makes it worth it when you factor in the risk.

54 x $6000 = $324000

54 x $4000 = $216000

324k - 216k = $108k saved for a bit more time taken.

I see the sweet spot being in the middle cause it's payoff is still almost half of the full 111 sell.

The 54 Method - Selling 54 crates yields $972000 with a profit of $756000.

The Full Method - Selling 111 crates yields $2220000 with a profit of $1554000 as we know.

Doing the 54 method twice yields $1944000 with a profit of $1512000, and although it will take roughly an hour longer overall (compared to one full buy & sell), it's far less risky because:

*Less crates to lose to destruction in a public lobby on split loads- lots of us can get a 'private public lobby', but note that lots of time can be lost trying to get one.

*Less money lost if any crates do get destroyed.

*The parachute thieves and running thieves can open up quite a distance between each other if not taken down straight away, which can become a minor time disadvantage to the 3:1 buyer

*you will have less NPC trouble during the sell.

*It's easier to recruit 1/decent associate to help you for buying and selling than 3 associates - a smaller sell load will result in less planes to deliver with etc.

*As you will have an easier time selling a 54 load in a public lobby, the lobby bonus is there for the taking, boosting the payoff.

*Again, a lost sell load for someone doing the whole 111 sell from a 3:1 buy will put a huge dent in the time and money commitment, dragging them back down to the level of the 2:1 buyer and 54 method seller. Sessions can merge unexpectedly resulting in 6 or so people (or possibly more?) suddenly coming in to your session without warning.

So yes, risk is the true key (at least for solo CEOs). For the record I will probably sell at 50 crates, I just used 54 for the example cause it sounded good and divided by 3x and 2x.

Blasterman4EVER

The ONLY benefit to buying three crates at a time is filling a warehouse faster. Don't do it unless you have an organization full of bosses.

Typical Rockstar, honestly, like when you go to the mod shop and the ugliest damn modification is the most expensive, but you buy it anyway because you are a masochist.

I was under the impression that holding on to a warehouse full of crates makes their value go up significantly. Is this not true, or is it just not worth the time spent waiting?

I haven't seen any proof that sitting on the crates does anything other than increase the likelihood that NPCs will attempt to raid the warehouse.

I'm 99.9% certain that only the per-crate value increases with larger volumes to sell.

Having now sold a full 111-crate shipment (solo) I don't want to do that again.

I like the 60-crate price. $360,000 & about 4.5 hours (if all solo and no BS happens) for $1,095,000. Well below the alleged "80% capacity" that triggers NPC attacks.

I agree. it took me all week to fill a large warehouse. and unless the bonus gets reset when you add a crate there is no reward for holding on to them

Though you do get a bonus for how many other CEOs are in the lobby when you go for a sell

Though you do get a bonus for how many other CEOs are in the lobby when you go for a sell

It's players in the lobby, not just CEOs. The exact game text is

You earned an additional 'High Demand' cash bonus for selling Special Cargo in a session with rival players. This bonus scales by the number of players in session during the sale, and the amount of Special Cargo being sold

I don't know for sure how many players were in my lobby but the bonus was $44,400 and I sold 111 crates (and 4 is probably the number of non-associate players in the lobby at the time, based on what I watched on the radar) then I suppose you get $100 per crate sold, per other player in the lobby.

If that is all true and they don't use an exponential scale, then solo'ing a full large warehouse in a full lobby (which defines "bat-sh*t crazy-a** things to try") you could potentially get $321,900 in bonus money.

Personally, I'd rather try doing the Criminal Mastermind challenge with all <rank-10 randoms that have no common language with me or each other.

I found a flaw in my previous price list when I went back to my screenshots:
