Have I the wrong idea about cargo runs?

So, while I wait some time to get round to playing the new content, I've Neen buying an office, warehouse and done a couple of solo runs to get crates.

But, I'm thinking to myself "is dedicating a lot of time to this going to be FUN?"

I'm not that fussed about the money aspect, it's just that the first few cargo runs were:

Buy crates

Go to drop

collect crate

Go to warehouse

Repeat

Which, doing a few times was OK but I am imagining thing getting very boring very quickly IF it was to stay the same.

The question is I suppose: is there some other elements to the cargo runs which make the more fun and varied or is it just one simple fetch and return grind forever?

There is a myriad of different ways each cargo run works. If you choose to do them the same way each time, or you go into a "private" public lobby like the rest of the forum seems to be doing, then it will be boring.

Do one in a helicopter, do the next in a car, get to a high vantage point and kill the NPC's first, etc. Rockstar didn't make this DLC for instant gratification like you all think.

Interesting comment. Many whom I've spoken to about this feel it's a long-term slog to begun to really see profits. I've not run into any folks who expect CEO activities to profitable in anywhere near even a heist time frame. The consensus is weeks and beyond.

Depends on how you define fun.

If you enjoyed the PVP chaos of the old freeroam special crate drops, but with the potential you to lose your $18k a crate and having to fight your way to your merchandise, then sure it may be fun for you.

As noted above, many are clearing out lobbies which gives them much higher chances for monetary success. Without the forced PVP, it becomes a slog and repetitive. That is why R* instituted the forced PVP in public lobbies to make this a survival excercise with a huge chance of taking large losses.

IMHO it's not fun. I don't play GTA:O to play for weeks and months towards a singular end. Heists played it nicely. A couple hours a day and you could be done in 3 or 4 days and the action was diverse and interesting. The CEO business, as mentioned it's a long term slog especially if done in a friendly small lobby. Since money isn't a huge factor to you, the only way I could see it being fun for you is you enjoyed the PVP in a full public lobby. If you are into strategy and tactics.

The people like me who are focused on the risks and the time to reap the rewards - it's just not fun with the potential for great losses.

Pass.

But, I'm thinking to myself "is dedicating a lot of time to this going to be FUN?"
