Associates get 1% of the CEO's reward?

Me and two other associates worked almost 5 hours straight gathering crates. When I was at 950k, we decided it was time to deliver.

So yes, like my title says, my associates actually got 1% of what I got... 9.5k... while I got 950k...

Yes, I know they get 5-10k per 15-30min or something but they mostly spent it on ammo & explosives...

So yeah, on top of feeling like I giant asshole, I couldn't even share the cash I made. This is so not fair!!!

---

Associates need to be payed by securo server or whatever it's called, 15-20% of the value of the sold cargo. The ceo still gets their full payout but the associates make enough for it to be a worthwhile activity. The current payout for associates pretty much just covers ammo expenses. So from a monetary perspective being an associate is close to worthless. There are two arguments I keep hearing in support of the current payouts, the first is that the ceo already had to invest a large amount of money into their company so they can do the missions in the first place. The second is that the payout shouldn't matter, that it's a new activity to enjoy and having fun with it is all that should matter.

The first argument, although the statement that CEOs should make more money to compensate for the fact that they're the person who has to front the capital itself is fair, has 3 fundamental flaws. The first flaw is that although the CEO should make more money, this doesn't mean an associate should make a pittance. The payouts for the CEOs,while perhaps not as generous as those for heists, are pretty good. However the 5-10k every 15 minutes for associates is awful.Especially if they have to use their explosives to deal with npc choppers or pesky griefers in their Hydras and Insurgents. Associates make close to nothing for doing the same work as CEOs and that is just not fair. The second flaw is that actually, in many cases, the associate(s) did front the capital for an office and warehouse too.I've 6 friends who regularly play gta.Out of the 7 of us, 5 have an office and warehouse. So if four of us want to team up together to help each other out, usually there's atleast two of us who have paid the cost of becoming CEOs but are making virtually no money for doing the same work in a different organisation.I certainly wouldn't mind making less in someone else's organisation but the current payouts are just plain awful. In a gamemode that encourages you to team up for fun and to protect your cargo, these two problems are massive disincentives to becoming associates. The final flaw, is the if you've become a CEO, chances are you're not a poor player.I've got full garages, a moderate assortment of pegasus vehicles, a decent yacht and office and a few million left in the bank. With the skyrocketing costs of recent updates I still need and want to make money if I'm to afford them, however I'm far from desperate for it.If I ever really want something I could always sell a few cars and get on the grind. However some of my friends aren't in that position. Most of them need the money more than I do and some are low levels with little in the way of resources. I want to help them level up and get enough money to experience the game, however the CEO delivery missions don't allow me do that. They ensure my poorer friends and crewmembers stay were they are and only I progress financially( I know many of you guys play solo or with randoms so this might not be a problem for you, but for those of us who do play with friends/crew it's a big disadvantage).

The second argument, that you should just enjoy the new gamemode and stop worrying about the money(it's never usually framed this politely, more along the lines of "Stfu you instant gratification wanting 12 year old millennial and go to Bitch and Moan"),has one massive flaw. This game basically runs off of money and there's a direct correlation between your ability to enjoy it and the size of your bank account. Look at the cost of all of the recent updates.Yachts were 8-10 million for a decent one,CEO offices about 1.4 million for a barebones one right up to about 6 or 7 million for most of us, if you pick the decor and extras you want with a large warehouse. You're lucky to buy a dlc car and upgrade it for under a million these days and if you want a super, prepare to double that.Pegasus vehicles are generally 1.5+ million.Weapons, ammo and even clothes take their toll too. People often say that money is easier to come by now but that's only in certain gamemodes. If you're not prepared to spend hour after hour grinding the same heists and missions, payouts are pretty poor. The new adversary mode averages about 6k for a 5 minute round. And as much as I enjoy playing this game, I'm damn certain the new Pegassi Reaper isn't worth 300 rounds of trading places and over 24 hours of playtime. At maximum payout an associate makes 10k every 15 minutes. I don't even want to know the amount of time you'd have to play to afford a pegasus vehicle, office and one or two new dlc cars at that rate.

The associates desperately need a pay rise to encourage people to play and try the new gamemode because the current payout is just too low.The CEO activities are supposed to be team based(have you ever tried to defend yourself in a Surfer from a Hydra because that's the definition of impossible) yet the meagre payouts discourage people from joining. The payouts don't have to be colossal but something like a 10k bonus for a successful 3 crate delivery or a bonus of 15% of the sale value of cargo would be completely reasonable and make becoming an associate atleast a profitable venture.

Exactly.. It's horrible even asking. You can comfortably do 950k solo in 5 hours anyway. Just ask each other for help at the actual sale.

Yeah being an associate gets you jack of sh*t. Only reason I've been doing it is my crew mate and friend seems to enjoy it and doesn't get much time to play, so I just run those crates with him in the morning and then I switch to running missions when he goes to work, provided I have the time.

This kind of proves that this mode wasn't intended to help players/CEOs make money, right?

Because associates don't have to put down millions for the office and warehouse (plus even more millions for additional warehouses and delivery upgrades) nor do they risk money when going after crates.

It would take the CEO days or even weeks for them to actually start making a profit. Associates make pure profit from the start, even if its not that much.

The way it's turned ou with all lobbies turning to peaceful grind sessions is exactly the opposite of what rockstar wanted but is a product of their greed. I think it's magnificent to see the player unite like this. It's rockstar's move now. They will have to tread very carefully.

You see if you write off the initial purchase then it's ok. You'll never have less money than that again.

Even if you consider that, it's absolute underpay and unfair. 5 hours for around 100-150k in securoserv payments? Doing Head Hunter and Sightseer you can literally do 150-200k an hour, make it close to 800-1mil in 5 hours

And they get a salary just for being an associate. These things individually may not be a lot but together it's decent sized for having zero risk in this whole thing, plus they're not really needed to make the sale but rather just be your protection.

Not if they did the 33 crate missions... which give you 0$$$

The solution is right there in the OP ffs it can't take a room full of devs that long to find it... CEOs need to be able to share all profits from the missions. Then R* don't have to fiddle with the associate payouts.

We're fake CEOs ffs yet Betty at reception is choosing my employees salary, wtf Betty!

You could just pay them with VIP work along the way? Pays good for everyone and takes little effort.

VIP work has ver poor pay in comparison to properly done CEO. Solo ceo is where we are at untill rockstar up the associates pay 5 fold. I think at this point they have no option.

Yeah, I feel really guilty when my friends do CEO jobs with me. I remember when I first found out how little they get paid I instantly went to the Share Cash option. Needless to say, I was disappointed when I found it to be greyed out. Thanks, Rockstar. It'll totally be a breeze to get people to help out with cargo missions once they know how little they'll be paid.

I feel bad inviting my good friends to be associates at this point, we all benefit way more from all being CEO and just helping each other when we need help. It is fun to be an associate so I hope R* figure out soon that there's already an option in the interaction menu to share a percentage of the profits we just made.

If only there was a statistic that tracked how long you had been an associate with x CEO, and the longer you have been an associate with that CEO, you start with the increased pay right off the bat.

As for selling, the SecServ salary should be proportional of what the CEO sold. But how much... well... I'm not sure about the amount. 20%?

Me and two other associates worked almost 5 hours straight gathering crates. When I was at 950k, we decided it was time to deliver.

So yes, like my title says, my associates actually got 1% of what I got... 9.5k... while I got 950k...

Yes, I know they get 5-10k per 15-30min or something but they mostly spent it on ammo & explosives...

So yeah, on top of feeling like I giant asshole, I couldn't even share the cash I made. This is so not fair!!!

You didn't actually get 950K, what about your expenses, so at most you probably got $400K.

Also your bodyguards get anywhere from $5-$9k every 10-15 mins which has to be counted towards their totals, so they probably got 50-100K in total ? Still not fair but also still not $9k
