Solo CEOs - 2 crates vs 3 crate shipments

How often do missions that require you to pick up your 3 crates individually occur vs buying 2 crates? Sometimes (about 30-40% for me), when doing 3 crate shipments, I may have to go back and forth to retrieve packages because of the "3 thieves" or "3 sea pirates" type of crate scattering, compared to about a 10-20% chance when doing 2 shipments. I am debating whether or not to switch to 2 crate shipments because of the possible time savings of possibly completing a few 2 crate shipments during the time it takes me to go back and forth during one 3 crate shipment run.

For the solo CEOs, how often when doing 3 shipments do you have to go back-and-forth? Have you tried doing 2, if so, how often did your shipments scatter?

I always do two myself, saves money and time in my opinion. After I complete it i do a VIP mission. Rinse and repeat.

at first all my 3 crate shipments were on individual crates, lately 2/3 shipments come inside a truck.

Only one in 4 or 5 scatter. As your in a buzzard then it makes no difference .

I solo these myself, and I find it better time and money wise to just buy 2 crates. This way, regardless of the risk of having to collect these individually or not, you'll save time if you need to grab em one by one.

And, as previously mentioned, doing a VIP mission afterwards gives you your money back and some more for a next buy. This way you make immediate profit and start seeing results fast, but it will get tedious, so maybe rotate your VIP missions every now and then.

I did 3x 3 crates before and one was dropped in the sea - a massively choppy sea. I had to leave my buzzard at the boat dock, drive the boat to one, come back to the dock, fly the buzzard to my warehouse, rinse and repeat. For the 3rd crate my boat had drifted so I had to swim against huge waves and my boat was still going away from me. It also had a 5 minute timer once I got in the boat to pick up the 3rd crate. It was extremely annoying.

All 3 were individual pick ups. I believe it is 100% random.

1 crate = $2000 purchase = $16000 sale = $14000 profit = $14000 per crate

2 crates = $8000 purchase = $32000 sale = $24000 profit = $12000 per crate

3 crates = $18000 purchase = $64000 sate = $46000 profit = $ $15333 per crate

*per crate profit might not matter too much since buying price is tied to total stock

You can discuss the pros and cons about each purchase - I personally prefer 3 crates

This is probably the best way of going about it, if you have a hydra or a buzzard it's very easy to do headhunter. You can do it while the purchase cargo timer runs out and you get a quick $20k.

The amount of crates I purchase (w/o any associates) really depends on the session, if it's full I'll stick to only one, if it's pretty quiet I'll do two at a time and if it's empty or one of those everyone minding their own business type of session I'll go ahead and purchase 3 crates.

You get a better profit per crate if you buy one at a time but you save a lot of time by doing 3 crates at once, hence better profit per hour.

How often do missions that require you to pick up your 3 crates individually occur vs buying 2 crates?

Sometimes (about 30-40% for me)

-------------------------

I also need to know the ratio of 2 crate buys. Ive done the numbers for 2 and 3 crate buys off the ratio from buying 3 at a time but it may be different.

-------------------------

when doing 3 crate shipments, I may have to go back and forth to retrieve packages because of the "3 thieves" or "3 sea pirates" type of crate scattering, compared to about a 10-20% chance when doing 2 shipments.

-------------------------

Are you keeping any data? I would love to add to mine if anyone is taking notes. The only factor that matters is how often mutli trip buys occur vs single trip buys.

-------------------------

For the solo CEOs, how often when doing 3 shipments do you have to go back-and-forth? Have you tried doing 2, if so, how often did your shipments scatter?

-------------------------

Same as you 2:1 ratio, about 33% or 1/3 of the time I will need to make three trips for a 3 crate buy.

Numbers so far from my group:

Buying 3 crates at a time

1 trip = 44

3 trips = 22

Buying 2 crates at a time

1 trip = 13

2 trips = 6

Its probably safe to assume the 2:1 ratio but those numbers are so small.

I made this account because of this question, u are the first person to bring up trips per crate as a factor.

It's so random. When I filled up my first medium warehouse, I hade very few of those that require 3 pickups. When I started filling it up the 2nd time, I had terrible luck, 3 times 3 pickups and 2 times that trackify thing when you have to search for the correct van.

All in all I'd say around 30-40% of the time is a good guess.

It sucks when you purchase three crates and they're all an individual collection, so you get frustrated and purchase one crate which ends up being in a van :D

I only collect crates in lobbies 10 and under and that's 2 at a time so I can (well should) at least get 1 with a chance of 2. Depends on lobby.

Once it lags out, it's always 3 and average about 10 mins in Buzzard for collection.

The worst is the Trackify for 3 vans. One I had to collect from Paleto Bay....

I remember there is a situation that I need to blow up a boat the get the stuff from the water

which my magic pocket can fit 2 box, other then that, I have to go back and fore, so I just choose the 1 box pickup mission

Whenever I'm alone it's 3 single pick-ups with a pretty far distance to fly each time. As soon as a friend hops in for an hour, it's mostly one pick-up for 3 ordered crates.

I prefer 3 crates as well...

2 boxes are the best ones imho, you save 10k compared to 3 boxes in every single run.

1 just takes too long.

$2.2m for 111 crates = $19,819 each, so no, doesn't look right.

I tend to stick to two crates since I play solo.

Do four runs, sell 8 crates so I only have to deal with one vehicle, then repeat.

Maybe when I move up to bigger warehouses I'll stockpile but since I have only a few reliable friends I'm not sure it's even worth it tbqh.

Not in the least. 1 crate is always worth 10k, first of all. I'm pretty sure the "increase" is only like by a couple thousand per crate as I'm now sitting on 3 crates at 36k.

Crates can be worth more than 10k. With my medium warehouse full I got 17.5k per crate and if you fill a full warehouse they are worth 20k.

A single crate is always worth 10k, they increase in price the more you own. Unless I'm misunderstanding what Reddice is trying to say (very possible, it's very early for me) they're off.

This person on reddit made a table explaining it up to like 42 crates.

I think 3 crates is more likely to be a single vehicle, counterintuitively. Need data.
