What is the point of owning multiple warehouses?

The current warehouse system isn't quite right and should be adjusted in future updates. The point of having five warehouses spread around the map is to have multiple choices of where to store your good, but it doesn't work like that - you HAVE to deliver the goods to the designated warehouse. For example, your crate pickup is north of the map so you should be able to deliver the crates to the warehouse in Vinewood because it's nearest, of if the crate pickup is in the docks, deliver to a warehouse in that area.

Why else would you have multiple warehouses across the map? The max you need is two large ones (if that) to get around the cooldown timer.

THIS.

It's why in my stupidity of thinking you COULD do that bought 5. At least I can use them to instantly lose cops for free

The location for the pickup/intercept changes with the warehouse's location. I guess if you just had one or two and really wanted a change of pace you could move or just purchase another warehouse.

You can also use them to stockpile value, if you wanted. While NPC raids are uncommon anyway, they're allegedly only possible if a warehouse is over 80% capacity. You could buy and fill several to that level and then just let them sit for a rainy day or as an alternate to "T20 bonds".

I only see a point in having 2. To avoid the cooldowns. Maybe 3 if you wanted to collect special items in a separate wearhouse.

I have two as well.

One for normal cargo, one for special items. If I deliver a crate too quickly and come back with a timer, I'll just run Headhunter to pass time and fund my next few hauls. Most cases, I spend $0 filling a warehouse by doing CEO/VIP Work and with the sales of Dubsta2's inbetween which leads to just 2.2m profit without spending anything to get it.

I don't see myself buying 3 more large, medium or small warehouses. 2 is more than enough.

actually I have 5, 1 small 1 medium and 3 large. I only need two of the large wearhouses though. The others are kinda pointless besides switching what ones I deliver to, so I avoid players camping my warehouses after they see me deliver to a specific one. Keeps them on their toes. They will see me deliver to one and expect me to return to the same one while really I'm delivering to a completely different area. It's kind of a stretch but the logic is there... somewhere.

It allows more time to stack up and you don't have to sell as quick. Works perfectly

If you own a Large warehouse does it unlock the CEO vehicles (XLS and Rumpo) that you need Small and Medium for?

That's the only reason I kept a Small and a couple Mediums.

2 will rule out the cool down.

I can imagine more make sense if you grind crates for yourself. Fill up 5 large warehouses with up to 3 people and sell them with a 4 people party before you start doing something else.

I bought a second warehouse recently and was a bit perplexed by this. I assumed you could take it to either.

Sorry if I've missed a thread about this, but...

What is the incentive to own multiple warehouses?

You can only stock and sell with one at the time, what is being gained in filling up more than one at the time then?

After delivering a crate there is a 5 minute cool-down until you can purchase crates for the same warehouse. You can, however, purchase crates for a different warehouse during that cool-down.

Personally, I have one of each size. The small I use for rare crates, the medium I use for quick cash, and the large I use for longer term investing.

But to answer your question, there is no financial benefit to owning more than two warehouses.

I started with 1 large warehouse and its really all I needed. I don't grind this. I treat it as a long term investment. I simply do a $2,000 crate then move on to something else (VIP, race, etc). By the time I think about it again the cooldown is over and I can just do another $2,000 crate. You get more profit in the long run doing $2,000 crates. I did however recently buy a 2nd warehouse (small) because I learned that sometimes ppl in the session are also using the same warehouse as my large so I go to the small to avoid problems. Its also good to have another place to avoid the cops.

I have 3, 2 large 1 small.

The small stays at 100% after I had an experience when I was in a spot where I was on foot, no vehicle in sight, Johnny wouldn't deliver car, and ceo vehicle spawn disabled and lost 20% of a large warehouse before I got a vehicle. The small is guaranteed to be the one attacked.

I alternate between the 2 large for cool down bypass and I save them at full stock for when my friends are online for trustworthy associates for sales
