What is the point of owning multiple warehouses?

Sorry if I've missed a thread about this, but...

What is the incentive to own multiple warehouses?

You can only stock and sell with one at the time, what is being gained in filling up more than one at the time then?

I haven't come up with a reason, i don't know if you could sell several warehouses crates at once, i don't know if it pays more, other than people claiming that by having 2 warehouses they can bypass the cooldown period for puchasing crates, which doesn't seem really like much

Dunno. Well im gonnna get 1 big and 1 small so i can fill up the small while waiting for big ones cooldown. Or 1 medium and 1 big. But having 5 big seems escessive

I wondered about this as well, since you choose the warehouse to deliver to before buying the crate(s), you can't choose the closest warehouse on the fly, which would make more sense to me.

Variety is an an incentive, though. I'm tempted to buy one of each size, just to have them.

You can also jump into one and lose any wanted level instantly, in case the law is giving you trouble, and you're near one.

It is kind of odd. I bought a small one as my second, but i think you shouldn't. You'll be far better off if you throw VIP work in after every buying mission. Cooldown passes away, and you get 20k.

But with two, you can buy constantly. Maybe there is some sort of price fluctuation thing coming... Or they thought that there is one less thing for us to bitch about!

The only point so far seems to be bypassing the cooldown (which is pretty short anyway - I only own one warehouse and never had to wait more than about a minute). Maybe, questionably, the ability to choose an alternate warehouse to work with if you're in a lobby where there's a lot of players somewhere and you want to avoid that area. Apart from those two things, I don't see the point.

Maybe location, strategic location, cool down period, and risk of being watched for your location and lurkers killing you at your warehouse. That's just my opinion though.

I also have just one big warehouse and I'm contemplating getting a smal second warehouse and leave it at that.. Main reason is I want to be able to get that ''sell a full warehouse ''feeling quicker... It takes some time filling up my large warehouse and although not excessively long, a smal 16 crate warehouse would help having a faster financial return for the time invested... The cooldown as it is, is not annoying... You just do a VIP-mission in between and you can collect again afterwards.. It's a continuous flow and to me these vip missions pay for a large 3 crate shipment AND a new Buzzard on the top of Maze...

I kinda like this whole collecting... Selling I'll have my first impression within two days... Tomorrow I'll fill up my large warehouse for the first time... Took me only 4 days, which is pretty quick as well (for a solo job)...

Grumpy-Goat-

I have 5. Why?

Bypass cool down

Extra safe houses across the map if needed

Multiple locations to instantly lose cops

Variety

Supply and demand

Because I can

That was one thing I noticed I could do when not transporting, lose the cops just by walking in regardless of how many stars you have. Having 5 places like that is kind of legit.

I'm still running with the small warehouse, gotta buy back a lot before I go buying more warehouses(sold my homes & cars for a yacht when on sale), but I want one of each size whether I use it or not, there is a large warehouse I think in north vinewood or whatever, and I've wanted a property in that area for a year plus since back when I was sniping everyone from rooftops. That would be my reason for buying 5 warehouses.

Location.

Pretty much like the couple cats and goats above me.

I suspect that the more you fill up a warehouse, the more likely the "rival gangs" (NPCs) will know about it and attack it, so having multiple warehouses allows you to store more stuff without filling them up too much and attracting the rival gangs' attention.

All of the above, plus when you send out an invite to associates it gives a brief summary of who 'you are', including the amount of warehouses you own.

"Ooooh, that guys got a yacht, 5 warehouses, high rank, etc...", so they join.

Unfortunately only on the phone, so you're still only advertising to those who will probably accept anyway. But still welcome.

You can purchase shipments for different warehouses one after another. While the cooldown is running on one, do the other.

You want two for those times that you feel like chaining cargo pickups. You will want another one for holding special items. Apparently those also sell for more in bulk.

The cooldown is only for the 1 warehouse, so having multiple means you never have to wait for the cooldown.

I have 3 small and 2 large. I keep the 3 small warehouses full, so they are always the ones that get attacked rather then the 2 large ones i rotate filling. If all you have is a large, it will be attacked instead and you risk losing substantial amounts of product. You can even dedicate one to only special items which are worth more in bulk.

You can also pick the warehouse furthest from other ceo's if you have multiple. Alot of times i share the same large warehouse as others in the session, which means you keep passig by eachother.

I am also curious if you fill one with a specific shipment type, if it has an impact on value. Say a full warehouse of narcotics only.

Well last night we had a problem where at least 3 different organizations were all in the same area using the same warehouse. It caused a lot of problems. Our CEO decided to buy another warehouse on the west side to avoid this problem. And this helped. The more warehouses, the more choice you have in delivery.

It is most portant they all be as close to HQ as possible, you never know when you will get a call on an attack, and every second counts when you are losing crates. It is less important where they are in the city.

Having multiple warehouses gives more chances of special items' deal? If it's true, definitely worthwhile.

Its so that you can fill 2 at once by taking it in turns for each one to avoid the cooldown timer.

I have 3 small and 2 large. I keep the 3 small warehouses full.

Does the value incrases on those 3 small being full or do they still sell for roughly 240k? Im kinda hoping if you filled a second it goes to 280k and 3 for 320k etc. Then it would be worth buying more

To avoid the timers. You can buy every 4 minutes and sell every 30 minutes per warehouse i believe.

Since I only sell 100k worth of cargo at a time. I only own a medium and a small. I bounce between them with no wait time for jobs and once they are both at 8 boxes. I sell the lot. It's made me almost 5m so far and I've pocketed 1.5 after a brocade and a cargobob. Both useless for faff btw. Don't buy the brocade. Useless
