Help an Experienced Noob here....Auto Show body armor?

I am currently playing with my 2nd character and never really used armor in my first character and I build up my rank to level 200 with him.

 

Yes, I know its sad that I'm asking this....

 

How come auto show armor is permanent? When I get killed and used up all my armor...why is it still on my character?

 

I thought auto show's intended purpose was to show whether you have armor left or not but it always stays on and while I the armor bar is empty.

 

What does this function do? I would like it to stay on and off depending on the armor bar.

i thought it was if you wanted to show your armor or not. i wear suits so i chose to have my armour hidden. i think it;s just an aesthetic thing.

The auto show armor, I believe, simply places armor on you, based on what type you equip/use. I do not believe there is a way to have the armor remove itself when damaged.

Its an option in the interaction menu. Just a clothing option for looks I guess. You can wear it all the time even if you have no armor or you can have armor but set it to not show on your character.

Auto show armor means when you purchase armor from Ammunation you will automatically wear the armor you purchased. You can disable it via the interaction menu.

Bumping this thread because I just can't seem to get body armor to be displayed on my char and any help would be greatly appreciated. The auto show option is "on" and when I scroll trough the armor types and hover above any of them I press square (in fact I tried a whole lotta buttons) but nothing happens, instead it just reverts back to "none" when I close down my interaction menu.

 

So I tried a few "fixes" went and bought armor form the store, nothing. Started up a mission bought some from the screen, nothing. Even unregistered as a VIP ( because apparently there was a glitch some time ago) I'm all out of ideas guys.

Interactive Menu is the way I do it, but it sounds like yours is not working.

(the only one I can remember is the heavy utility vest)

Put on a scarf the armor will disappear

Yes I know that, I have this problem only since Finance and felony update dropped. Tried about every category now, it still won't do anything for me.

 

Edit: It doesn't even work for tank tops so something is definetly glitched in my game.
