If you are struggling to chose which amount of crates to buy...

Here is what I found after a few quick calculations. Hopefully this helps simplify things for some people. These are estimates and I used $2.2mil as a final value when you go to sell them all and I used 7 minutes as the time each pickups takes to complete. I did not factor in the time in between pickups. Numbers will obviously be different with each person but the fundamentals remain the same. I haven't calculated for the smaller warehouses but I would assume that the results would be quite similar. Correct me if I'm wrong.

3 crates:

$18,000 or $6,000 per crate

37 pickups

~4.3 hours to fill large warehouse

~$1,500,000 profit

$348,837/hour

2 crates:

$8,000 or $4,000 per crate

55.5 pickups

~6.5 hours to fill large warehouse

~$1,756,000 profit

$270,153/hour

1 crate:

$2,000

111 pickups

~12.9 hours to fill large warehouse

~$1,978,000 profit

$153,333/hour

If you're by yourself, you won't necessarily be able to get all three crates in one pickup. I've only done it once; when I did, I had to go back three times as I could only carry one crate at a time. Concluded that it wasn't worth the extra cost to get three crates at once if the time saving was going to be minimal.

I may have been premature in my conclusion. However, if you aren't working with at least two "associates", then the pickup time per crate on average will be at least somewhat longer.

By yourself, I generally urge against 3 crates at a time. Two is a nice middle ground. One is fine too. BTW, doing it one at a time greatly increases your chance of getting a special item, since you do more runs. That erases a big part of the 3 at a time advantage.

I'm alternating between 2k and 8k crates.

It also minimizes the chance for losses.

i go with the nice and steady 2 crate method.

faster than 1, cheaper than 3.

So you're saying with 3 crates I could make 4.5mill in the same time it would take my to make 1.9mill buying 1 at a time?

With a Buzzard and a quiet freeroam session I can manage 2 crate pickups relatively easily as a solo CEO.

I tend to switch to 1 crate if lobbies fill up though - gotta minimise the risk :)

The best way to get the most bang for your buck is to buy according to warehouse size.

If you assume that you always sell your warehouse stock when its full, then—

Small (16 spaces)

Full Sale Value: $240,000

Individual Crate Value: $15,000

Cost of Setup: $32,000 for 16 single-crate missions

Profit: $204,000

*Approximate time: 3 hrs 23 min

Earnings per hour: about $60,295

Medium (42 spaces)

Full Sale Value: $735,000

Individual Crate Value: $17,500

Cost of Setup: $168,000 for 21 double-crate missions

Profit: $567,000

*Approximate time: 5 hrs 10 min

Earnings per hour: about $109,742

Large (111 spaces)

Full Sale Value: $2,220,000

Individual Crate Value: $20,000

Cost of Setup: $666,000 for 37 triple-crate missions

Profit: $1,554,000

*Approximate time: 10 hrs 24 min

Earnings per hour: about $149,423

*All times are calculated with the 5-minute cooldown in mind, and don't account for the time it takes to sell. Small warehouses are at a rate of 8:00 per mission, medium warehouses at 10:00 per mission, and large warehouses at 12:00 per mission. All times are solo estimates, as the missions can vary, sometimes requiring two to three trips.

In the end, it all comes down to what scale you want to work on, how much you get paid, and how often you get paid.

The whole system is very weird if you're playing Lone Wolf.

You pick up a crate, bring it back, then have to back out and gather the others.

But why do we have to go inside the warehouse everytime?
It's such a waste of time and the chance of getting booted out of the session "due to an error" is more prominent during those enter/exit transitions (for me, anyway).

I'm liking the new DLC content, but the more I play it, the more I find it's a real pain the rumpus in places.

I also found that doing 1 crate at a time is faster, but having to go back to HQ takes more time.
Doing 3 crates is a long, drawn out fetch mission that you need to repeat. repeat. repeat.

Either way, it's a lot of time and GTA$ to put into a game. I'm going to get fat eating sandwiches if I play too often. :p

I don't get why we can only carry one crate, but then when we go to sell them we carry all of them in 1 truck heh it makes no sense. if that big new truck can carry all of them to a sale, then my insurgent should be able to carry 3. It seems like at over selling 300.000 you get that Valkyrie attack so I sell a bit under since I'm selling solo and in a solo (forced or in my case controlled) session.

What if i blow up (Buzzard) any excess crate if it too far away from my warehouse? is the time saved worth paying 18k for one crate?

No better way to get crates peacefully than in free aim. Nobody gaf about your crates.

Less boring than solo.

Another thing is that you get a bonus when you sell your crates for how many people are in your session. The more people you have, the more money you make. That might be a decent incentive depending on how large the bonus actually is.

3 crates works, and isn't comparable to 1 crate x3. First, 50% of the time 3 crates are in 1 truck. And I have never failed to bring back a crate even with them scattered in the ocean on the other side of the map. Can't fail with a Buzzard.

Single crates, you have to go back to your office between every crate. At best that's 6 extra minutes (2 min ea), on top of the same back and forth delivery time. $12k cost? Worth it.

it would make it more balanced for everyone, the people playing with associates can use the buzzard for quick transport of the crate, the people going solo can use the brickade to drive to the location, pick up all the crates at once and drive back to the warehouse.

I solo filled a medium warehouse using the 2 crate option last night and it took me just a little over 4 hours.

I've done hundreds of crates 3 at a time and still haven't had a special item or been robbed. I've had the assistant call me about the item but never see it.

Agreed. Also make the "armored" Brickade resistant to ONE explosion, and now it becomes really usefull. As it should be.
