hiimnoam64
I get about 30 fps on my laptop at the highest settings, I have the Dell 7559 laptop with a 960m nvidia card (4gb dedicated vram) and an i5-6300hq. How can I see if the game utilizes all the cores or perhaps there's another fix for performance?
Red Hat
Nothing you can do about that. GTA IV's a poorly optimized port on PC.
NightmanCometh96
Since you mentioned you're playing at the highest settings, I would turn shadows down to the High setting. They were the biggest performance killer when I played IV on my laptop. You might also want to lower the View Distance if that's maxed out. Spider-Vice
Yeah, if you're on the latest patch, definitely lower shadows down to high. Very high shadows are overkill, the shadow map is extremely detailed for no reason. I went from 30 to 60 FPS steady with nearly no visual penalty.
