Help with this Online thing

Hey guys,

 

started to play online this week, and I have a few questions for you guys.

 

On a mission like the one for Lamar where you dress up like Vagos or Balls, if I die and then restart the mission, I will play completely unarmed. But if any other online player dies, he will restart with guns. How come I can't have any gun after restart even if my teammate dies and I don't?

 

And how do you guys organize the game? There is always pop up windows coming up. You guys talk about doing these kind of missions of being CEO with this new update, and I can't understand how do you reach that.

Not sure about your gun issue.

 

As far as pop up windows, IIRC there's something in the settings to limit them a bit. There's also show/hide settings in your mini menu that can hide jobs and store icons on the map. It has options for public events if those pop up banners and scores are bothering you.

 

CEO/VIP work: to be a VIP, you need to be in possession of $1m. Then you can register as one in the SecuroServ section of the mini menu. It lasts 4 hours w a 12 hour cooldown. It doesn't charge you the $1m. To be a CEO you buy an office from the real estate site and then have permanent access to VIP stuff. You can toggle VIP/CEO whenever through the mini menu then. To work for someone else's organization, you go to the securoserv area of the mini menu and turn on "looking for work". This resets to off every session. Then wait for an invite. You can accept them through your phone on the SecuroServ icon on the bottom right.

Buy a gun. You don't keep the guns you possess unless you own then, so it sounds like you're picking up weapons and losing them upon dying.

GTA online is nearly three years old and you've just started out. It will take you literally years of grinding to get all the stuff that most of us have, so there's no point asking "how" as though there's a magic answer.

 

If you do want a magic solution, buy shark cards. They instantly boost your bank balance and fund Rockstar development.

 

Or cheat, and be dirty.

This is partially nonsense. It really depends on how much you play, how efficiently you use your time playing, and what activities you do. It shouldn't take a new player more than two weeks just to get 2 high end apartments, a good amount of guns, and a few nice cars, if they're motivated. One of my pals just started a couple weeks ago and he's pretty well off so far.

 

Definitely look for a group of people on your platform to help you move up.

 

There's tons of people out there willing to help new guys out if they're willing to learn, which you're clearly taking initiative to do. If you're on X1, pm me. I'd be willing to pull you into my sessions making money with pals.
