People complaining about Update.

When people complain about jets (so all the time, I'm always thinking about this.... thanks, Obummer) I always say "Learn to fly or get freinds who can fly." Again, we are at a place where it's easy to meet people with "a particular set of skills" so instead of having your game ruined by standard tactical moves... beat the moves and enjoy the game more.

 

 

 

 

 

It's really not super difficult.

 

I don't know. I think they're too powerful (mainly because the small speed cap means aiming is easier than it would be in a real jet).

 

That said, there was no promise that this update would do anything at all about jets. So people shouldn't condemn the whole update just because the patch notes weren't to their liking.

 

People should at least give credit where credit's due, even if they're not happy about jets.

But honestly, "Jet vs Person" is a pretty (naturally)unbalanced fight as it is, if it were easy for a dude to kill a jet, that would be off and wouldn't make any sense. Sometimes an advantage is there, and one needs to just come up with different tactics to take care of the problem.

Well of course it should have an advantage lol. What lunatic would think it wouldn't?

 

But at the same time, it doesn't have to be either "equal" or "border-line unstoppable".

 

Look at the Savage. That gives an advantage if you use it well. Doesn't disrupt the rest of the game nearly as much though.

 

(If anything it needs a buff, so maybe not the best example .... Still, I'm sure you get my drift).

I have two basic complaints.

 

This system is not scalable and will not remain enjoyable on the long run. No matter how many warehouses you own and which office you have, you will still be doing the same delivery jobs. A CEO in name, a henchman in reality. The only way to circumvent this is to find many associates that will do the jobs for you while you chill in your office. Nice gameplay. Brings us to the second complaint.

 

The system relies on other players being wage slaves for you. It is already difficult to find associates, because everyone knows they would rather be CEOs. It will become more difficult as time passes, because the hype will die and people will be tired of wasting their time for someone else to make virtual money.

 

Unfortunately, you are unable to address these problems. Only Rockstar can and I really doubt they will. They would have implemented the system better if they could have thought of these issues to begin with.

 

WHat struck me regarding your second point is how much this mirrors real life in some ways. While everyone would like to be CEO/s, that is not a reality, just like in this game. It is expensive to afford an office building, a warehouse, then have the money necessary to fully stock one. While we tend to deal with hardcore players HERE that have that kind of capital, that simply isn't the case in the general population that has many more casual players. I do think the payouts are scaled poorly, and my understanding is that was nerfed with a patch. If so, and as long as what players can earn is comparable to other jobs, there will always be some who will want to mix it up and earn money this way rather than grinding other methods over and over (at least until they have enough money to become a CEO).

Really though, you need to consider free will.

 

A person can b*tch about something because they don't like it. It doesn't have to be about being trendy. A person can like something because - guess what - they like it.
