New update broke yachts

Currently my yacht settings are resetting every few minutes as well as allowing people to use weapons on the boat even when defense are active. R*has got to be the most incompetent developer in the history of the industry

It wasn't this update. Its usually resetting because of the way you leave online. If you leave through the start menu it should save. Its been this way for a while.

All the random little jobs are disabling it. In a single session I have had to re-enable it 5-7 times

No need to be so harsh with old R* after all, it's a lot of big (and free) updates they're getting out, it's only so much until a developer starts getting unexpected bugs between expansions and expansions.

 

What is quite a mess is X1 Fallout 4 mods, geez, it's a war over Bethesda's forums right now.

I'd say it is rather exaggerated to call R* the most incompetent developer.... The GTA franchise has always pushed the boundaries by leapd, and although there are quite a few niggles, their pedantic take on polishing the game is quite high. For example, clipping has never been a huge problem. (But there are wall breaches older than dinosaur fossils - go figure)

 

I don't own a yacht, but my game settings occasionally do keep resetting. Subtitles fall off, for example.

It wasn't consistent, but I used to just set it and forget it but occasionally I'd notice that when I went on deck that the "you can't use your weapons" pop-up wasn't appearing.

AFAIK, the other settings like vehicle-access or swimwear weren't flip flopping themselves, just the AA defense.

I mainly noticed that If I destroy someone's crate from a ceo mission, my yacht will be disabled and it won't come back on for a loooooong time.

Joking aside, it doesn't make sense for that to be intentional in Rockstar's master plan. File a ticket on Support. While there's only a 2% chance that they will see it and fix it there, there's a 0% chance they will read this thread and work on it.

Someone was camping my yacht today and killing me when I tried to get on it. Even when the defenses were re-enabled it let them keep their weapons out. It's just a broken system
