DetectivePhelps
If I wanted to create a 'new game' without it from either interfering with my current game, how do I go about that. Here is my set up on console 360; I have Memory 1 and another memory with an empty space. So is it possible to start new game on that memory unit? I have four available slots in my game saves. I always overwrite my game to save me extra slots. Any detailed feedback would really help me. Edited June 9, 2016 by AdressUnknown
lil weasel
Consoles do not allow for Modding, let a lone writing a whole new game. Try the PC and reference DYOM (Do your own missions) in the modding section of the forums.
DetectivePhelps
Yeah look, I don't mod, don't believe in mods as a gamer & my game is on 360. So basically if I want to start a new game which I have done before, I'd have to delete my game to start a fresh new game. All I was asking was is it possible to start a new game by saving it on a different memory unit. No big deal; I don't mind starting a new game when ready by deleting it from my memory serves since I plan on starting a new game. lil weasel
Miss understood question. You can just Overwrite the current saves for a quick new game. Or as you said, delete the current games saves. I see little point in keeping Olde games saves, unless you want to redo specific missions to develop skills (i.e. Flying and Driving schools). Thank you, that part I clearly didn't know about. You must excuse me. I'm completely a rookie on this game trying to learn the ways, such as tricks to do leg work of Firetruck missions to LV 12, tag turf before the actual story, Paramedics mission for extra health & 50 Oysters plus hitman LV so I don't have to deal with all that, then start my 1st mission big smoke.Sadly this is something I learned just days ago along with inside track Bettina's to gain tons of cash.I copied your method so I can remember it.Thanks again lil weasel:) Edited June 10, 2016 by lil weasel corrected quote code. DetectivePhelps
To lil weasel, Can you confirm this. Ok, I'm not one for cheating, ever! But I encountered a video of a person using a jet pack cheat code during the cutscene of TenPenny 'when they pick CJ up. If you use this code during the cutscene only it will unlock all the clothes stores. Does this work for Xbox 360? Now I'm not for cheating at all, I feel your cheating yourself but that's me. The thing that bugs me about San Andreas is you do all this leg work, all this money by betting. & as a gamer I like to have CJ have his leather pants, tats from LV early on even after coming out you get shot up. But any down side or bad effects if I did that cheat only? Not for extra ammo or anything else ridiculous like flying cars. Any info if this is bad for my game. Know achievements won't be counted but you keep your 50 Oysters, snapshots. If you can, let me know?
lil weasel
For the Paint Cans there are two outside locations from the start: Click here to view the SnapMap [*] I Do the Firefighting missions as soon as the game starts to get money (and make Carl Fireproof) to buy safe houses. Then I can save the game before starting the Story Missions. [*] Next I do the Burglary to get "Super-Sprint" for carl. [*] Third I do the Gang Tags for weapons cache in Carl's Kitchen. I run on foot (the reason for the super-sprint) to build up health. This increases the Health bar without doing the Paramedic Missions. [*] When I do the Firefighting (and Paramedic) I have found it just as easy to do them in central Los Santos. Even when failed the Money is kept. Driving without regard to streets, or NPCs (except cops). Once a Target NPC are dealt with driving over them is of no consequence. [*] Up to level 7+ it is amazing what you can get away with when driving. [*] There are missions where you can use exploits to avoid Wanted Stars. Not getting into the Car when starting "Drive By"; not entering the Motel during "Reuniting the Families" are examples where you can go into unopened islands to collect Horseshoes, Photo Ops, and Oysters. [*] Meeting Kathy, and Barbara can be done by flying into the forbidden islands, if you do not mind a death. [*] Jumping the LS Airport Guard House roof and stealing a plane then flying in circles around Los Santos Island (do not enter forbidden air space) will earn a "Pilot's License" (really a gate pass, you have to do the Flying School later anyway). The Shamel takes about 13 minutes, the Dodo 25 minutes, depending on your CPU speed. If you use the Maverick it is about an hour. DetectivePhelps
@ lil weasel, like your method. Made note of your way of doing this. Never knew certain parts you had mention. Looks like I'll start a fresh new game. It's too addicting & fun. Thank you for taking time for helping me in this guide. 100 legit! I don't mind dying tons of times when collecting 50 Oysters. I approach that after Firetruck mission for fireproof, little cash to bet in the horse race. Make tons of cash. If I lose, re-load save. lol. By the time I have done the 50 oysters I have had lung at 100, Stamina filled, muscles filled. It's s real pain but fun. BMX Challenge would be done. By the time I do my very first mission story, I'm maxed out. Tatoo from LV. Get on the boat by swimming behind palomino creek. A jet max is always there & armor. Man, I didn't know about the infinite sprint. That's new to me, again. Tonight I'm gonna be quite busy with the game. Again, thanks.
lil weasel
Regarding Burglary. You only need to get $10,000. You can do it in one night by grab and dash, or take more time (days). It is an accumulated total. All items have the same value. It is the amount of items taken in a single night that determines the Over All value of the evenings take. The best houses are the ones to the left of Big Smoke's home. The corner house has three items: TV, VCR, and Boom Box. Always take the TV first, then VCR, and Boom Box. Line up properly with the item and Carl will grab it. If you are off a little bit he will hesitate before taking the item. Practice. In the PC game you can grab and run out setting of the "alarm", and still go back into the same house. In the Console game once the "alarm" is given you must go to a different house to reset the first house. When you have cleared a house go to another and after taking One item you may go back to the original house. If a house is occupied, leave. Do not fight as it takes too much time. I am not keen on Betting and saving method, (It has been said that too many saves may affect the later game play.) I read in an old magazine that when Carl has super-sprint, he can have an effect on running horses by tapping the sprint key. If done properly it will cause the horse to sprint briefly. I have had others say this is not true. Edited June 10, 2016 by lil weasel
