[PC] Anyone been banned for using MSI Afterburner (Rivatuner), Fraps o

Since the last update I've heard people all over claiming to be banned for no reason (I know many of them are bullsh*tting). But many have said they've been banned for using programs that have absolutely nothing to do with the game, like recording programs and overlays.

 

This could make sense because these programs may apply some hooks into the game to obtain their data and Rockstar has made their crappy anticheat system simply more aggressive rather than better at detecting cheats so it might be picking up false positives.

 

I use Rivatuner to cap my framerate and it would suck if I did get banned for using it.

So has anyone been banned for using MSI Afterburner (Rivatuner), Fraps or the like?

I use rivatuner/afterburner OSD in game and have done since launch, after reading this I turned off rivatuner's hooking until I learned more.

 

I did play with afterburner on day one and was not banned, but I have heard people saying they got banned while using overlays from MSI afterburner and other apps, HOWEVER it seems the entire debacle has been hotfixed and rockstar has unbanned anyone affected.

 

TL:DR was a real issue not just cheaters making up fibs, but it is no longer an issue.

I have no idea whether it was a real issue or complete BS, but Fraps is fine. Took 97 screenshots in GTAO since the update launched and I wasn't banned yet.

I've been using MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner and Shadow Play since day 1 and never had an issue...

Read on another Forum earlier today that after R* got flooded with complaints over the bans for using these Apps; that they did a patch earlier today to fix the issue...

Rockstar Games banished me 2 times for no reason. I never cheated or use glitch never get money or stuf for other player.

- Since the first ban I did not dare win three races in followed

Rockstar Games and 2K games haven't offered me solution to or explain me to deban my online account
