How to get a Free Kuruma (Normal, not Armored) from CEO Missions

DISCLAIMER: Sometimes it will work. Sometimes it won't. This Kuruma is NOT Armored, so don't whine or say "You can get a Armored Kuruma from this! XD" to your friends. Seriously, don't. Anyway, with that out of the way...

Step 1: Be a CEO (or a Assiociate to a CEO)

Step 2: Keep doing shipment missions until you can get a Weapons Shipment.

Step 3: If a Rival Crew hijacked the shipment then you're on the right track.

Step 4: Steal the van back from them and drive to the Warehouse

Step 5: When you're being chased by them, You should be chased by Kuruma Drivers.

Step 6: Kill and Steal the Kuruma

Step 7: Complete/Fail the shipment mission

Step 8: Drive to your garage. It should be able to go in.

Step 9: You're done.

Sometimes the Kuruma will go in the garage. Sometimes it won't, like when I tried a 2nd time, it wouldn't go in. So 50/50 chance. Really, this seems like a more meaningful 'Reward' for doing some Shipment missions.

UPDATE 6/30/16: It seems to be most likely patched, as most if not all of the Kurumas are now locked, and if you actually manage to get your hands on one and go to your garage, it will display a message saying this:

"This vehicle cannot be stored in your garage unless purchased online"

Which sucks since the Kuruma is under the $100,000 price limit, and it makes more sense to get the opportunity to get a new decent car for free than tagging along with a potentially random guy, being paid $5000 by the quarter hour and only getting up to $7000 from selling a $2.2 million shipment.

It will only sell for $9,500.

Doubling what you'd make for these silly missions so really a good deal if you think any of this is worthwhile for turning a profit.

How is $9500 doubling what you'd make from the mission?

It will only sell for $9,500.

$9,500 would be the standard resale price, seeing as the purchase price is $95,000 and the normal return percentage for unmodified NPC vehicles is 10% of the purchasing price.

Kuruma?

Eh. Don't really care.

Now those unmarked police Staniers... that would be something...

I hate the Armoured Kuruma, even if it is useful, so a standard one doesn't hold a lot of appeal. Ah well, free sh*t - get it while it's steaming! The Huntleys are locked in these missions (even when the doors are open you can't get in.); I assumed everything else was.

The Wandering Hunter

this rivals duping donks if you only duped 1 donk and are planning to sell all the kurumas ever

I've driven a Huntley from one of the shipment runs, or maybe it was during a Headhunter. I couldn't store it, though. I may try the Kuruma. Edited by YngDady

I did a CEO mission where there was a parked Kuruma but it said it "could only be stored if purchased online".

After the mission it goes in apparently, also I drove Huntleys yesterday. It's all bugged out.

All the NPC-driven Kurumas are locked.

I got in one that was sitting smashed in the street and drove it. Parked ones are drivable too.

Yeah I've never had a problem getting into a parked one, but I've also never come across a driven one that was unlocked...even when it had no doors.

Lift it off using a 'bob.

Also: back in 2014 when car smuggling events were introduced those smugglers often drove rare cars which weren't even available to purchase online and not in the streets e.g. Buffalo Sport and you could drive them around and do a simple glitch to put a tracker and insurance on and it would be yours

Anyone else had joy with this yet? I just got chased by Kurumas during a medical supplies collection, one where a gang are lying slain and you have to find the 3 packages in the yellow circle. After killing the chasers all Kurumas were locked. PS4.

From my experience almost all Kurumas were locked.

The ones chasing after you were locked each time for me, but haven't tested all scenarios.

They were locked after killing the drivers, but haven't tested pulling them out instead (snacks and/or BST to survive).

Cargobob'ing locked ones and trying to teleport in also didn't work. Dipping the Kuruma into water didn't help either. (<- old GTA SA trick to get mission vehicles, gotta be creative lol)

But Kurumas from the Vinewood Sign Shootout (3 crates job) were and remained unlocked during the job and became locked afterwards.

Here is my idea for that specific job, may apply to others:

- identify unlocked cars

- keep looking at them to prevent despawn

- have a friend bodyguard quitting during the job to be able to access his garage (leave org, maybe leave/rejoin session)

- he may be able to store it now

Saving a Kuruma for the CEO may not work as you are kicked out finishing the job. Maybe possible to wait inside LSC.

Edit: Maybe the CEO can also take one and wait just in front of his/her garage to drive it in before being kicked out. (bodyguard taking cargo to warehouse)

it should be unlocked when a freeroam event is running. that was the solution for issues during the store any car from creator glitch.

Nice to know, thanks.

Does the event has to be already running or do they become unlocked again when it starts afterwards?

I assume VIP missions from other players do also work?

Edit: Was in a public session (only us) doing bodyguard work for CEO friend. Killed chasers in Kurumas and locked cars again.

I quitted as bodyguard during the job and started a Hostile Takeover while his job was still active. Kurumas remained locked during his job, after finishing it and after finishing my takeover, tested step by step, separately.

Could not test with regular freeroam event yet.

I tried this a few times over the two times I was a CEO but each time the car was locked so I've given up.

Anyone able to supply a video showing they've managed to store the Kuruma as if I could get a free one it'd be nice.

Ahhh That would be how I got in a smashed one from another ceos crate run. Wish I had of tried storing that one, must be the solution

Can you remember the circumstances? Was there a freeroam event running?

Where was it "parked"?

Some seem to be actually parked in an alley or parking lot and appear unlocked from the start (top of Vinewood Hills for me, was a NPC shootout ongoing). Some others chase after you and appear locked for me upon killing the drivers.

Don't get me wrong, I already bought one for my male character. One awesome car to race over dirt (no traction loss offroad) and absolutely worth buying. But in GTA I prefer to steal my stuff and my female character could use one if it's "free". :D
