Is the government going to bail you out when the market goes bust?

Yes, and after you break even, you'll be making a hefty bonus for every job you do. After all, you're not renting these offices, you're buying them.

Same principle as buying a store in real life: you're not buying money, you're buying a long-term money maker. Keyword highlighted.

Making hefty losses you mean. The reward vs. risk of this stuff is absolutely terrible and even the "perfect world" estimates of using this for a cash grind seem sub-optimum compared to many other proven and existing methods.

Well actually if want to counter the cost of filling up your warehouse. (Which for a large one. Takes 37 missions)

Is do a warehouse mission and after finish it, either do sightseer headhunter or hostile takeover and let the time get down below 5:00 mins. And you'll make 25,000 dollars.

So 25,000(vip mission)-18,000(contraband crates)=7,000.(total profits)

So if you did the vip mission 37 times.

7,000x37=259,000 profit.

So that's a tip to help with profit.

So what you're saying is the just solo-ing VIP missions is better money per hour?

I believe these things were introduced to add variety to the game, and the vast majority of people that don't treat the game like a conquest will be pleased with what's been added. If you're simply looking for the next big grind-to-wealth then sure, this may not be it.

Can't it just be something new but not necessarily perfect? After all, none of us are.

Also, sure, you need to do some work to break even, but it's pure profit after that. Stop being a negative Nancy and just play the game for fun.

"Pure profit" is contact missions, heists/setups, races, TDM, daily objectives, etc. etc. etc. Even if you "break even" you still have to shell out 2-6K per package up front risking not only loss during pickup but also delivery.

Otherwise I agree, it's something new to do, I just think a lot of people expected better return to compensate for the expense/risk/hassle of the grind involved.

My friends and I have decided to go back to our usual money grind to recoup what we blew on this update. When we're back up to 20-30M in the bank wasting 18K on package buying to watch everyone in the lobby squabble over crumbs will be far more entertaining. It's the expectation of ever seeing a return on the initial 30-35M investment or even the 18K package pickups that has a lot of folks sour and rabidly searching for empty lobbies and aggressively kicking strangers.

12-14 hours is a very optimistic time frame. More like 20-25. Things will go wrong, people will force that to happen...

Agreed. Even if you play perfectly and have no PvP distractions normal game bugs and just bad luck with scenarios will add time and expense. 20-25 may be on the long side, but I'd say the 7-8 hours to fill up a warehouse would be the elite challenge timeframe one could expect.

Point is, if you're looking at this through grinding glasses, then there's no possible way to convince you otherwise. Organizations are supposed to be fun, money comes second. If all you want is money, go grind either VIP stuff or Pacific Standard.

It was hyped up as "move up the ladder", "build an empire", blah blah blah. So yeah, the hype train (and price tag getting into it) rather had a lot of us believing it was going to be a big risk but big return. Only the former is true.

I didn't even feel this bad about dropping 10M on the gold plated jet. It's an expensive status symbol, cool. Dropping 30M on new vehicles and properties would have been better had I known that they were also just expensive status symbols going into it. Hell, I'll probably still buy a few more warehouses and more useless vehicles, but at least I now know what it is and go into it with eyes wide open.

I did say that I was going back to my regular money grind and just do this for fun occasionally when I have extra money to burn.

If only I could earn the bank for a luxury office in 14 hours IRL.

Video games and GTA are supposed to be fun, real life isn't.

i like that comment.....a lot.
