I'm having trouble joining friends in a session, what is going on?

Overcrowded servers. It evens out.

This has been happening every day since the update dropped, and it's always around 2-3PM EST. All of the pre-pubescent children have been released from afternoon kindergarten and elementary school, and have flooded the servers. If you're in a session, do NOT do anything that could earn you money. Wait like 2 or 3 hours. It'll sort itself out eventually. Don't complain about it on Support, because they'll just blame it on you and redirect you to the Troubleshooting page.

Dammit I'm getting fed up with this Rockstar! I'm finding myself having to check down detector before I join the game. Its been weeks now! Whats the point in releasing a massive update to boost game players then only provide enough server space for half the players? Second time I've been half way through selling a warehouse only for the game to drop out from me and the sale to screw up. I am seriously considering picking up a new game on Steam if this keeps up.

This has nothing to do with crowded servers.

The real reason it is like this is because cheating players using programs to force themselves in seperate lobbies. A similar situation happened when the crate drops happened.

and yet some of us have bad connections and it has done that since day one, so it's not "cheating" i can't change my ip, no program is being used by me. Any session i join forces me into my own, it does that in a few games I play besides GTA.
