My method for making money as a CEO

I've seen a lot of people complaining about the CEO thing being there just to drain money, but my system seems to be working so far.

Step 1: Go into an invite only session solo or with friends.

Step 2: Do the VIP work 'Sightseer' for $25k.

Step 3: Do a quick job (I always do Bust Out because it's quick and I have it down to a tee), this will earn you $14k in the case of Bust Out as well as pass the time while waiting for VIP work to cooldown.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have made more money than you need to spend on crates to fill up/nearly fill up whatever warehouse you have. I have just one small warehouse, so 5 x 3 crates is about $90k = 3 x Sightseer and 2 x Bust Out ($103k). Maybe do one more in case you need a lot of Pegasus vehicles etc.

Step 5: Go to an empty/friendly public lobby.

Step 6: Buy crates until warehouse is full.

Step 7: Sell a warehouse in one go. (Small warehouse is about $150k profit when full)

Step 8: Profit!

The best part is, doing the missions first will secure your money so that if you happen to lose crates or even have your whole shipment destroyed/stolen, you still make a profit overall - just not as much. I'm not one for grinding, and I can easily manage doing all of this. Setup missions take about 20/30 minutes if you're efficient, then you're free to enjoy the next few hours being a CEO without a worry.

TL;DR:

Do missions to pay for crates.

Please also remember that this is a way of safely playing as a CEO (for those that enjoy the new DLC) without having your money drained and without doing much work. This is absolutely not the most efficient way of making money in the game. If you want to efficiently make money, don't bother with the CEO thing, because it's not for you.

Too much effort. As much of a pain as the pacific standard glitch is/was, it was still a lot better than this CEO junk.

Final Quake

face it guys doing heists is the best way to make money... so keep on wasting your time filling up your warehouses. I did it yesterday, filled up an entire warehouse sold the lot and thought, wow, was that it? Back to my usual heists today.

Like I said, this is not a way of efficiently making money. This is a way of enjoying the CEO gameplay without losing money. I happen to really enjoy the CEO stuff so half an hour of prep is no problem. Keep doing glitchy heists if all you want to do is make money.

The old ways are the best ways. CEO? Bah. I'd rather spend my hard earned cash on stuff that's fun.

Why are people writing on here with their methods of grinding to get money? I specifically stated this is for those who enjoy the CEO mechanic and want to do it without losing money. NOT how to make money fast/efficiently.

I knew I should have written my last sentence on the OP in bright pink.

I do not know how to do the step 5. Do empty public lobbies exist? How do you get there in ps4?

I don't know why so many people are having problems?! I spent 1.25 million dollars to start with this CEO stuff and now I've made almost 2.5 million in the past 2 days. I like this better than heists. Pac Standard takes more time for my team to finish than it does for me to fill a medium warehouse and making 300k from a heist versus 500k (profit) from a medium warehouse is a lot better IMO

For me, I use a box right by my PC that runs the internet connection from the router through the mains outlets. I just flip that off for 15 seconds or so, flip it back on and I'm pretty much sorted.

Also, an update to this method which I somehow didn't think about:

Step 1: Get in an empty public lobby either on your own or with a friend as an associate.

Step 2: Do Sightseer. This will pay for the crates as well as pay your associate friend a decent amount of money for the work they're about to do.

Step 3: Buy 1, 2 or 3 crates. I always assumed buying 3 was the cheaper option since it's generally harder, but apparently buying them 1 or 2 at a time is a lot cheaper and gains you the same amount of resale value. It's really more about spending more time or more money so do whichever suits you and your associates best. 3 x 1 crate = $6k / $36k resale vs 1 x 3 crates = $18k / $36k resale. I usually go for just 2 crates at a time, which is easily solo-able too.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until your warehouse is sufficiently full, then sell it all.

If you buy 2 crates at a time with a friend like I have done, it's a pretty good way to make money that isn't as repetitive and monotonous as grinding missions IMO.

Since the DLC came out I've made about $700k for just a few hours playing. (Notice how I said playing and not working).

We'll, that would have made this thread more fabulous.

For me, if I manage to get into an empty public lobby, I'll get 2 or 3 crates delivered to the warehouse then do a Headhunter or a Sightseer.

By the time I've finished that, I can do another 2/3 crate pickup.

Rinse and repeat, alternating between Headhunter & Sightseer, remembering to sell a car every 48 minutes.

I've only got a Small warehouse at the moment so a 16 crate payoff is small, but relatively risk free.

The ability to call a Buzzard to my location, coupled with a Kuruma on call, I'm covered for many situations.

Would love this to be available in an invite only, but hey ho.

Having the CEO stay at the office and walk outside only to the trigger the phone call for the pickup, while the other associates scattered over the city do the actual work (and get there quicker) would be a good method (thus the ceo and can setup another buy immediately (if second+ warehouse is owned), but they'll need to fix the associate pay first.

Associate pay got fixed with the latest update. Also what you suggest is a pure utopia, first you will have to hire associates, which is a problem itself, also your associates should be qualified enough not to destroy your cargo.

if you want to play without getting shot at.
Go oflline and switch your aim to freeaim controls
then search for a session, you will find it empty or with a few people.
but they are serious
most of the time

like i said on an other thread, those jobs are mainly for fun, heists are still the best if you want to grind big time

There's no need to make it this complicated unless you really want to. I alternate: do a crate buy, then do VIP work (usually Hostile Takeover or Headhunter, not that it matters a lot) or free roam events to kill time during the buying cooldown and to make back the money I spent on the buy. Being in an empty lobby is a plus, but not required; however, in fuller lobbies and if I don't feel like searching for an empty one, I lone wolf it and strictly do single crate buys, so if I do get intercepted I'm not out that much money.

It's certainly not the most financially rewarding system, but it's simple, I never endure loading screens, and there's plenty of variety.

Honestly after each buy I just do Headhunter or Sightseer...with headhunter taking priority since it can be done quicker. I make a nice $100K+ along with my small warehouse sale that comes to another almost $200K after subtracting costs. More often than not I'm adding $300K almost every 1 and a half hours.

When the CEO update came out I had 3 friends helping me fill up all 5 of my warehouses. It took us 5 entire days to complete all 5 of my warehouses. This being on an empty public lobby. Heists is the best way to earn money. CEO work is too much work for so little money. Spend an entire day filling up a large warehouse only make maybe $1.1m or do the heist glitch for an entire day and earn 20-30m. Missions are fun but it's very time-consuming and not very rewarding. And to add to all the abuse from Rockstar, if you max your warehouse then you get robbed periodically by NPC players. One time, I lost $500k from them. Just BS. It's not the way to earn money. It's the way for Rockstar to ensure their lobbies don't go dead by giving us busy-work and super time-consuming tasks that take an excessive amount of time to complete.

If you know how to boot players out of your session then you can make them exist ;)

This is irrelevant. The CEO never has to leave the office. It just says that but you never have to actually leave the office. It's not like heists were if you don't something then you can't move forward. Your associates will not receive a call from the Assistant but rather the location of the crate and a message from the Assistant. They don't have to answer the phone. And if the CEO does not go outside, it does not prevent your associates from receiving the location of your goods. Believe me, when I had my peasants doing my CEO work, I sat in the office getting drunk, laying down, watching TV, until they finished their mission.
