Private Public Lobby

Hey. Network things.

 

I think I like the Financy & Felony update, but I'm not gonna spend hard earned imaginary money since it's public session only. I just don't like playing with human beings. They have the tendency to act like dicks when presented with the possibility to do so. Add to it that I'm not the best of players, I just prefer to limit myself to a private session with some hand picked people that also don't wanna be screwed around with.

 

Now, back in de days of Red Dead Redemption I had issues with being in empty lobbies which I could only fill up by inviting my ex brother in law. Turns out this was because of the NAT setting that can still be an issue today, as google would have it.

I don't have that NAT issue anymore, but I'm looking to put it back in place, so I can play "public" while not actually having to meet the public.

Problem is, I can't seem to get my NAT back to type 3, which would theoretically limit me the way I need.

 

I guess what I'm actually asking is: Has anyone been able to devise a way to make the game think it's in public while they're more or less not? And could we get on it then? One of the best features of GTA was "Closed Friend Session".

Best I've been able to come up with is when my buddy is accidentally kicked from the session and wind ups up in an empty public then invites us over.
