There's nothing saying it is a fact only if science proves that. Again, the example: The guy bought a car (true) - fact, simple as that. You won't need a "scientific data" to prove that.

Lets now, have a number example: from 10 people, with a decent sense (not 10 years kids playing GTA), 8 of them think "X" car is ugly. The common sense then claims the car is ugly, and it becomes a fact. I'm not saying the car is really ugly, it is a matter of taste, but by common sense they found it ugly, they consider it ugly. It doesn't means people won't buy that. In example, we have the X80 Proto. Ugly, but fastest and the most expensive (give "status" - BS), and people buy it. Easy as that.
Now, I claim X thing is ugly, and from 10 people, 8 agree with me. So, are most of us abnormal? Or is it a fault of a company of feeding players with crap cars, crap design, and fantasy-based poor-quality models? Seriously.

Keep thinking "Oh, but if they think this car is ugly, it is just their opinion". R* loves it, really, because they can keep giving you sh*tty things. And no, I don't "know most people", I saw most people complaining about 811's Spoiler, and same with Comet. Now we need some science here, with a complete study just to proof (something obvious) that "X" thing is ugly according to common tastes? Lets call it "different" then, not ugly anymore.

The quality of beauty, or lack thereof, is subjective. It cannot be measured quantitatively.

Let me explain in very simple terms why the beauty (or lack thereof) of an object cannot be factual: it is not a property of the object being evaluated; rather, it exists solely in the minds of the people looking at the object.

Consider a statue that has a mass of 100 kilograms. The mass is a property of the object. It is a fact that it has a mass of 100 kg. It doesn't matter if you believe that it does or doesn't have a mass of 100 kg. It doesn't matter if you and I agree that it has a mass of 100 kg. The truth that it has a mass of 100 kg is independent of your beliefs or perceptions, or mine, or anyone else's. But the beauty of that statue doesn't exist within the statue itself; it is not an inherent property of the statue, like its mass is. The beauty exists only in the mind of the person looking at it. If every single person who sees the statue says it's beautiful, it is still not a fact that it's beautiful, but it would in that case be a fact that everyone agrees it is beautiful.

Psoloquoise is saying, that if enough people think the car is ugly, it becomes a fact the car is ugly...

Yes, its a fact there are people that think its ugly, but its also a fact there are people that think its beautiful...

Now that i think about it.. this is a pretty stupid discussion (opinion)

Though i honestly feel i made slight mistakes with everything but maybe the x80...yea...no way i coud have gone even under 59:50 seconds with the stock 811, let alone get to nearly 00:58.

I do how ever feel the handling of the 811 being bad just aint true.

Exept for it not being the best going over kerbs, it is not that bad over those either an without kerbs the handling feels good...no oversteer or understeer noticed...even not that hard to recover once spinning out

 

Edit: i do not put offroad tires on any of my sports and supers

That cutting corners is made by him and its actually "Cutting Coners GP" not the R* one.

 

If we shouldn't trust a guy who test all vehicles in the game fairly using a single track with statistic, I don't know who to trust or listen to. (For opinions with proof of course)

As for 811, it is my new favorite, now matter how slow or fast it's.

Well, it's definitely not as race-ready as the T20 or X80.

 

However, I like it. I don't race anyway, so speed isn't my concern. Handling and braking feels compatible to how I normally drive. It's nice.

 

Now, mission-wise, really nice. The back isn't BP but the window's tiny enough for you not to get shot by Merryweather. Sides of the car also are a good height when taking cover, besides the front side area of course.

 

EDIT: Most importantly for me, it's the car that managed to replace the Bestia GTS as my daily driver. Even the Times-eighty couldn't do that.

I completely understand what you mean there. Yes, the mass can be proven to have X weight, and we don't need people to believe it or not, it is a fact.

 

Yes, "beauty", "intelligence" and such thing as that can not be measured, quatified. And then, we can not assume directly something is beautiful (or not). We get based on opinions then, and it shouldn't be considered as fact, to be honest, anyway you are not wrong when you say it is. I wasn't saying that based on Car Spoiler's, I was saying that based on how many people complained about it. That was the fact: most people don't like the Spoiler, and same happened with Comet.

I have a lot of love for Broughy and his videos, and in my opinion he's been proved right more often than not in his initial assessment of all the cars.

 

He's got as scientific a method as possible in terms of how he tests the cars, but at the end of the day he's one guy with a particular style of driving - and he's admitted plenty of times that there will be people out there who could do faster lap times on CC than he does. The way that he deliberately does the tests though is to try and drive a consistent racing line around the track without taking too many risks, but pushing the cars as hard as he can to ensure that each lap is consistent as possible.

 

best way to figure this one out is to either (a) buy the car and have a go in it, or (b) race against it in whatever super car you normally use and see if people are consistently doing better or worse in the T20 / X80 etc.

So is this out for consoles today? I saw an 811 in a race I was in this morning (it finished 3rd), so I left the group after the race to buy one. Didn't see it at Legendary or SSASA sites before I had to leave for work.

Same for me =(

Third car, first row on Legendary.

 

My only, only issue (right now) is there's no badge on the front of the vehicle.

 

But this car is extremely lovely to drive and look at, I now own two.
