I hope it stays restricted to public, otherwise public lobbies would be dead.

Why would you say that? Clearly there's plenty of folks here who simply wouldn't play the game without the "challenge and excitement" of public sessions. You'll always be able to find a session full of level 8000s with invisible bodies, jets, monkey masks, and other juvenile antics (and mod menus if you're on PC).

Are you people really looking for a "challenge" or are you looking for easy thrills from trolling those who are trying to do something else? Be honest.

Careful with all that salt

What a thoughtful and articulate point for point rebuttal. Not sure what salt has to do with this topic, but whatever. I suspect when you're a teenager it is riotously funny for some reason.

no, just NO.

this update the bikers and MC's were left out again

so let's finish the bikers petition first and then we'll talk other stuff.

New biker upgrade will consist of the following:

Half a dozen bikes that are worse than what you already have. (Possibly 1.5M Benny's type upgrades for a few).

Biker clubhouse (3M entry level with another 6M worth of cosmetic-only upgrades) Your choice of 3 locations all centrally located around the busy PvP swarm points.

Some really cool 2-4M$ Pegasus vehicles which you will NEVER get to use in any of the associated content's missions.

New game modes

1. "Hellride" where you pay 20K then are forced onto a bike that's slower than an insurgent and have to drive halfway across the map with a 4 star wanted level. It pays a whopping 40K but every time you get shot or bump into something you lose 400-500$

2. "Target Practice". Players pay 15K to drive the slowest bike (must be slower than an insurgent) through the center of the city locked in first person. All players in session are given the message that they get PR, cash, and more proximity mines if they can blow you up and hydras will spawn around town (like vehicles for free mode challenges) market in light blue. You'll be paid 25K for surviving this, but will be charged another 5K if your bike is destroyed.

3. "Jumping for Joy". Players can use their PV bikes for this. All the stunt jumps in the port area will be highlighted for all to see, bikers organization pays 20K to initiate. This is a 10 minute event in which bikers try to complete as many of the stunt jumps as they can (reward 500$ each). For added fun and challenge other players see all the jump locations highlighted and are paid 500$ each time they prevent you from completing a stunt jump. You MUST use your PVs for this one and normal cooldown times for mechanic delivery apply.

4. "Davy Jones' Locker": Your bike club pays 30K to launch this event. 20 bikes must be gathered from around town, put on a tugboat in the port area and you must transport them to the top of the map. You get paid 3000 for each bike that you deliver to the objective point and other players in session get paid 1000$ each for bikes they destroy.

These are just a few of the hot new features of the new "Bikers and Shark Cards" update!

.

.

.

Seriously though, if you really enjoy something, don't even wish for R* to make an update around it, I promise that whatever enjoyable content you expect will be turned into something that will utterly ruin your fun forcing you to play with trolls and hackers, restricting your play choices, while simultaneously draining your bank account.

Well, we should consider that if you complete a sale with other CEO's around you get a little bonus.

While I did sign this petition during the content drought, I feel that this petition here isn't really asking for much. It is something that is current and is something many of us are not pleased about.

We're not asking for a new update. We just don't want Rockstar to forget that not everyone enjoys the unlimited chaos of public freeroam. As already mentioned, up until this point, virtually every update was made available to the private audience.

If they're willing to make this simple change, you're that much closer to getting a biker DLC. Just keep exposing it. It's very well-made and deserves the recognition.

As much as I want this to happen...

Lets be honest. Invite only means you get 100% of the profit, 100% of the time and that is a no no in R* eyes. They probably had their own reasons as to why the made it Public only to begin with.

Yet we can do VIP jobs solo in invite only for much greater profit than the CEO missions can offer, there's literally no good reason for this update being public lobby only.

i'm on both sides of the fence in this argument . pvp can be fun if there are no griefers and if its a fair fight but the jet idiots and level 8000 immortals have to go.i don't think perma banning is the answer I think that rockstar should just strip their mods and knock them back down to what ever original level they are. the missions are doable if you run with a group an organization of four and have a couple of guys flying around in a lazer ,hydra or savage acting ass lookouts.

If they really want it to carry the type of risk that being in a public lobby offers, then they should increase the payout dramatically, because right now the reward isn't even remotely worth the risk.

It won`t be, because they`ll have live admins or heavy control over it. They aren`t THAT stupid - they`re only douchebags towards the players, not the money.

Actually, they did have problems with jets. They just acted all oblivious to the jets, and the obvious modded accounts, and the lobby splits that happened later.

My friends and I were laughing our asses off watching the stream as they'd take 10 steps and die over and over. All they did was one collect and one sale, lost a crate, and probably would have lost the sell to if not for the lobby split that saved their ass. Spent 18k, made 10k and it took them almost an hour. Feel our pain R*

It's honestly so frustrating and mind boggling to see just how many people lack the brain power to process the fact that the petition explains that the players simply want to enjoy the content. Meaning that they want a challenge, and not bullsh*t!

For those of you who have an IQ starting with a decimal point; A prick in a jet is not a challenge, a douche in a chrome armored Kuruma is not a challenge and an arsewipe spamming stickies from a Zentorno is not a challenge. These are not challenges, but simply pains in the ass that just ruin it for everyone. It's not really a challenge if you're driving a big, slow, fat truck that turns like a boat and accelereates like a rascal and the guy chasing you is in a supercar and is armed with small explosives, but more of an insurmountable feat.

A challenge is supposed to be something you can overcome through stategy or teamwork, not something that requires your opponent to literally lack a brain or eyesight. Let's face it, while most GTAO players may lack the brain power to process the simplest of high school maths (order of operations and stuff like that), they aren't stupid enough to get outpaced by a truck when they're in a supercar or jet (Remember, they're bad enough, but not stupid enough) as long as they're able to turn a corner without blowing themselves up they'll keep up with you no problem.

That's what the problem is, they literally have that much of an advantage that it's no longer a challenge, but an extremely irritatingly hard task that just sucks the fun out of everything. I'd be fine with the whole thing if I was actually faced with a challenge and not a task that can be compared to trying to lift Thors hammer.

The sad thing is that there's literally a buch of simple changes that R* could make that would solve most of these problems:

- You wouldn't be able to throw sticky bombs from the armored Kuruma. If you take a look at the car you'll notice that it's got pretty small windows, windows that are about the length and breadth of a single sticky bomb and are surrounded by armor plating, and they aren't exactly made of your standard glass. However, despite the fact that the windows, when they break don't completely smash and dissapear, but get small/medium holes in them, you're still able to throw sticky bombs through the space, as if there's nothing there. This is something that could literally turn the car into an armored car and not the douchemobile that it's commonly known as. But I don't make the changes, I only moan about them not being made ;).

- The cannons on the Hydra and Lazer would have a cooldown as well as a limited (but not pish) ammo supply. To resupply you could call for a special merryweather pickup? Speaks for itself really, in real life you obviously wouldn't have unlimited ammo (there's no cheat codes ;)) and the kind of guns you'd get on a jet like the Hydra or Lazer have restrictions. In other words if you fired them in real life like the way you can in the game you'd destroy the barrel really quickly. You want a way to balance jets? Make their guns more realistic, it's a no brainer, why this hasn't been spammed on the forums or suggested to R* repeatedly is beyond me.

- Not being able to smash open the windows of an armored car without a gun. Your character can smash them open like they're made of thin plastic when infact elbowing them would barely even scratch them, and if by some miracle you did break them you'd break your elbow in the process. A simple fix would be to make it so that you, I don't know, couldn't smash open the windows of armored cars without a gun, you know, like real life. If they're smashed open you could only fire guns through the spaces. It ties in with the Kuruma and the explosives, if reinforced windows are smashed they won't shatter like paper thin ice sheets, they'll be riddled with holes, holes that you couldn't fit a grenade through never mind a sticky bomb. If this change was made you wouldn't have half the struggle due to them literally not being able to break open their own windows with their elbows and toss stickys at you, as far as I'm concerned better armor, more momentum and decent speed and scceleration is more than enough when taking on a truck that basically crawls everywhere.

For the record, you wouldn't be able to smash open the windows from the car using a gun either due to you running the risk pretty much all of the bullets ricocheting all over the place, potentially headshotting everyone in the vehicle. Our characters are smart enough to know better, right ;)?

All of these are no brainers that should've been implemented, or in the game since day one. If these changes were made a while back, or not required at all, armored cars wouldn't be half as overpowered as they are. All they'd have is superior armor and stopping power combined with good speed, acceleration and mostly adequate handling.

From what I've come to understand half of the people in here can't understand that without these changes armored cars are much more than a challenge when you're in a coffin with wheels, and I find that quite disturbing to be totally honest.

PS: I wasn't meaning to be an arsehole or anything what with all the remarks and that. It's merely to emphasive how illogical and stupid some people sound are being when they try to say that this thread has no real point.

PPS: I forgot to mention, glitchers and god mode asshats, not a challenge either.

Actually, you can't throw stickies (or any other explosives) out of an armored Kuruma. Not sure if I'm reading your analyze of windows right, though, but good work on the dimensions and all.

The issue with making changes like that, so radical (especially the lazer with ammo cap), would just be a storm of sh*t for R*. The easy way to fix all of this is to simply enable the new CEO stuff to be done in an Invite Only/Crew/Friend Session. They're literally forcing us to lose money. Over-expensive office. Buy crates that can be destroyed. Set it in a public lobby where every idiot owns a jet or has a homing launcher in their pants. I honestly wonder, and I can't even begin to say how many times I've wondered this, if R* employees go home and play GTA:O. Like they don't just go home and watch baseball, they're gamers no doubt and there's no way that the devs of GTA play a game where you're a guy made out of wool and do puzzles. They play GTA or other open-world games. Do they get stuck in the clouds? Do they rage at glitched-money-bought jets that can be summoned as quickly as you can spawn? Seriously, I want a reporter to walk around in the R* offices and ask the people working there, "Do you play GTA:O? Why or why not?". Guarantee most of them would say, "no, I'd hate my life if I saw the hard work I put in is ruined by bad decisions from people higher than me."

I haven't caved in and bought a single CEO-related thing. I did get the Rumpo Custom but that's a vehicle. No way am I gonna spend my hard-earn money on something that swallows money like a broken slot machine. It's a shame because most people who hated the idea of public lobbies gave in just to try it out and they're bending a knee to R*, how easily conquered they are. I won't spend a single in-game or real-life cent until this CEO stuff is included in Invite Only, which will most likely never happen (please let me be wrong). It sucks because those that want to make money have to resort to the same old grinding (VIP/Missions/Heists) or buy a cash card, to then go in the CEO stuff in public lobbies because it's the latest new thing and there's f*ck all to do otherwise and enter a cycle of eternal hell of being poor, buying cash cards to supply for CEO stuff and be poor because dicks in jets are the new trend and has been for the past f*cking 3 years.

I think private sessions would kinda ruin the point. Instead, we should have the psychopath system for crews but have it only register pvp kills. The higher your crews rage level, the more likely you get attacked by ai gangs.

This would ruin the point, for you. Thankfully, you're not forced to play in invite-only sessions with just your friends.

But for me, the point is to immerse myself in underpaying and associate-slaving contraband trafficking activities. The point is to experiment with different vehicles, different weapons and not always have a Hydra and Buzzard at the ready because everyone else does too.

I want to be able to record videos with the editor without having to worry about getting strafed by Hydras and sandwiched between wreckages by Insurgents. The game is a sandbox guy, people should be allowed to experience it the way they want (legitimately). Up until this point all of a sudden we're SOL? I don't like it.

The point of being a CEO is to recruit sla..- I mean, "associates" to work for you, but session after session I find myself in, I can't tell you how many solo CEOs I've seen doing their own thing leaving plenty of white dots on the map. This update is flawed and deserves criticism and them making this update accessible to every kind of player is one improvement.

But I also like your suggestion. I feel like for every type of gang that we butt heads with we should be brewing a profile for ourselves and I would really like to see some gang-hits and the like. Sorta' a bit like in Scarface or The Godfather, with their Vendetta mechanics.

Oh no, we wouldn't want anyone's experience to get disrupted. No no no no. Not at all.

It's almost as if, the people who get their convoy's sprayed down by a jet cannon so they can get 2K and some ammo, (off of someone's hours and hours of hard work which they just lost half (or more) of in about 2 seconds) didn't have their experience disrupted.

Keep it the way it is. GTAO will die if they allow it to played in private sessions.
