kingcool52
Anyone else notice that when you land it it always tips to one side. And its not that I'm bad at landing either because I'm fine with all the other air vehicles

zedex
It's the first thing I bought before going to work this morning, tried landing on the yacht, slowly, and I noticed that. It's got a much narrower "landing point" than the Swift so I thought it was that, but Super Volito also had that problem with the skids.

Dottie
Its the awful landing of the supervolito combined with the awful agility of the savage best of both worlds The "i cannot see out of the side windows at all" limo tint is just added icing on the cake

Jammsbro
I think it's about time to remove passive from the military vehicles. If you can't do passive in deluxe vehicles, that can cause no then why should you be able to in flying death machines and insurgents?
IdRatherBeFlying
I'm glad I tried the volatus from the CEO vehicles menu before buying it. Has the same problems landing as the SuperVolito. It's like throwing an empty Styrofoam cup on the ground. It did clock in at just over 140 knots max speed which I think makes it slightly the fastest heli. The Swift deluxe from the Pisces yacht is still the best exec heli, I have mine in all white paint. I think it's about time to remove passive from the military vehicles. If you can't do passive in deluxe vehicles, that can cause no then why should you be able to in flying death machines and insurgents? Apparently it's only the vehicles with champagne in the back that can't have passive mode. No idea if that is some technical limitation or just R* trolling players. R* does love to troll their customers like the most expensive yacht coming with the ugly windows, hole in the roof and the crappy heli and boat. WildBrick142
Tried it out... twice. Despite its ugly af looks, I was actually quite impressed at it's speed. Got me from the Lake Vinewood Estates to my warehouse in East Los Santos very quickly. Unfortunately it can't land for sh*t. Barely managed to land at the warehouse because it constantly flips to its side and lamposts are enough to send the thing flying all over the place, then I flew back to Lake Vinewood Estates, landed it, left it, it flipped to its side. Had no other choice but to blow it up with Grenades and drive down with the second package, leaving some asshole time to get to my final crate and blow it up. Gave it another go because thieves apparently can survive a Valkyrie getting nuked so I needed to get back to my warehouse fast. Got it near Palmer-Taylor Power Station (where my crates were). Flew to warehouse, had a bit of trouble landing, flew back to Davis Quartz for the second package, landed good enough, flew back to warehouse, landed, was exiting it but the rotors hit a lamppost and the whole f*cking helicopter went flying, it flipped to its side and blew up, killing me as a result and leaving me with not enough time to grab the third crate (the stupid game also despawned the helicopter on my yacht's convenient location when I went to get the third crate so that was really over because there would be no way I'd get back in under 2 minutes). It is very fast, I give it that, but it's a piece of sh*t otherwise. Costed me $20k, 2 crates, and a death. Hunter
^So it lands like a SuperVolito; goes crazy and spins like a Savage?
whywontyoulisten
It's got a much narrower "landing point" than the Swift so I thought it was that, but Super Volito also had that problem with the skids. The wheels are far too close together, so it is unstable; every other wheeled helicopter has them widely spaced, but on the Volatus they just drop straight down. The Nimbus isn't much better; if it were a real jet there would be a lot of wingtip scrapes on the ground. The SuperVolito's problem is that there is no "spring" in the skids: they are absolutely rigid, so any landing heavier than a feather, or slightly off the horizontal, results in the whole vehicle tipping (watch how other helis absorb impacts with their skids). I think they adjusted something so that the skids clip the ground slightly as opposed to just bouncing off it, but it doesn't hide the fact that it is a major design flaw. bloatedsack and Gridl0k
Fox2Quick
Don't forget that the weight of occupants affects vehicle handling. Th pilot sits on the left. Is it rolling left? Have you checked to see if the problem is just as prevalent with a passenger balancing out the weight?
bloatedsack
SV is top-heavy, it can't land properly because it behaves like a roly-poly. SV's skids aren't "soft" enough to absorb a crap landing, so it'll bounce to a side and cause you tip and smash teh rotors into the ground. That results in overcompensation to correct, bouncing your other skid of fhte ground and tipping over again. In real life, when a helo lands they needt o come in flat and smooth so that doesn't happen, too, except in real life when it does that it'll usually bounce from skid to skid til the various forces from the spinning rotor cause the whole thing to tip on it's side and wreck. I watched it happen, and the little Robinson R22 the school used as a trainer was totaled out and the student and teacher both taken in away in an ambulance. The Volatus does the same with the wheels, although it appears to be easier to correct than teh Volito. IF you put it down even with the right amount of force, the shocks and tires absorb it perfectly. If you don't, it'll bounce to the side. And y'know what, it's worth it. That thing is sexy as hell in it's Pegasus blue scheme. I haven't seen it in default blue or SecuroServ black, yet, but I assume it's sexy as hell in all it's delivery colours. ash-274, Forza Harrd and Gridl0k

bloatedsack
All air vehicles listed as "luxury" allow the rear seat passengers to access alchohol and the Internet or cigars. Any vehicle tagged as "luxury" disables passive. So far, this includes the gold Luxor and Swift, the Volito, and now the Volatus and Nimbus. I'm unsure if the yacht supplied Swift does, because I'm unsure if you have access to rear seat anementies in the yacht-supplies Swift or not.
