jets ruin all this new vip stuff

why don't wait till the map has no jets. the stock saves at the warehouse. If delivery is to dangerous WAIT or do something else till you see a good chance. People just try take deliveries with a chaotic map going on and then cry about it...the only unfair thing going on is that associates don't get anything out of this which will end delivering stuff on my own. Unless a friend just wants to do it for fun.

Replace them with miniguns that just shoot bullets and it would actually make dogfighting more fun imo.

The session will never be no jet, once the crate is shown to the public, people will just get into their jets.

 

You don't wait till the map has no jets, the jets waits for you.

Awww, seems we have another jet griefer that's mad for getting kiked from lobbies...

^ He brings up a excellent point though. Players can also attack you in buzzards, savages, insurgents, vakyries... Turreted limos.. If someone is determined to kill you and smart enough to utilize any of those tools to do it... Jets aren't the problem.

I get that its very cold over there in Antarctica, but stop the bullsh*t, it won't warm you up.

All the vehicles you mentioned are a lot easier to take down than a jet.

Thats true, however when you take the jet outside of the dog fight situation, its dominating the whole session. If players playing the CEO/VIP thing against a decent jet griefers, the prey wouldnt have any chances to fight against it.

 

 

With that I can agree. A good and alert pilot is really powerful, and I'm normally that pilot; but I'm not screwing other CEO's with my jet , I just use it to get/deliver my crates(and grief 10 year olds that keep screaming on their mics, obviously)

No it wouldn't. Just like I said before, sometimes it takes like 3-4 minutes to get a millisecond chance to kill the enemy,with a minigun it would take forever to get a kill.

Make it difficult, fine, but they're putting us in handcuffs for a boxing match here. It's by design so we can't make much money, period. Even after investing $12m-15m... Just let me hire NPCs to help, ffs.

No, not really. Even an Annihilator can bring down a jet very quickly if you actually hit it. It would make dogfights more fun because one single hit (maybe two) would end it immediately.

One or two hits? I don't think so.. sometimes it takes two hits with explosive rounds, imagine with miniguns. It takes some seconds to destroy a jet with an Annihilator, and in dogfights you normally don't have that amount of time to hit the enemy.

Even the Technical gun would be sh*tty in dogfights, it is a strong gun but not useful in dogfights. True dogfighters know how hard it is to get a chance to kill the enemy, then we would have to get 3-4 hits just to get a single kill? It would take forever

They can buff the minigun strength by a lot (without the explosive area effect, there's no reason that the minigun strength can't be off the charts - you'd only be able to hit large targets, which is all people on the ground really want: a chance to survive). Besides, if jets didn't have explosive rounds I imagine most people would change their dogfight strategy somewhat, being a lot less afraid to be hit. The reason everyone goes into the annoying, eternal circle of death is that they know that even one hit means you're done most of the time.

 

Anyway, f*ck a jet. I've lost patience with this discussion and with Rockstar for never doing anything about it. I'm off to other games until/unless they ever decide to do something about their most glaring, long-lived problem.

Yeah I know that there are more whiners than dogfighters lol. Imo it would be kinda fun if explosive rounds only worked in dogfights and non-explosive rounds worked in freemode, that way dogfights wouldn't be ruined and ground players wouldn't complain that much.

Jets aren't broken in this game. Players who abuse them constantly however do have some issue. Users who complain and scream victim time after time have some issue. They're been in the game for years now. Sometimes I don't understand why people just don't adapt or leave already.

 

 

Sometimes I don't understand why jet dependants tell everybody to adapt but never offer any actual direct solutions, except maybe leaving the session.

 

And the situation from three years ago is completely different to today. In the old days, obtaining a jet actually required at least an element of effort. But now you have Blind Eye for an easy Lazer, or you can just rock up to any helipad for a Hydra.

 

Anyone who can't admit that jets are unbalanced in GTA Online is deluded.

Not only did accessibility change with the addition of the buyable Hydra, as well as changes to Pegasus to ensure you were never without your Pegasus vehicle for more than a few seconds, they ALSO have added a stream of objective-based free roam content that make you a big, fat target. You have a bright red map icon visible to all players no matter how far away they are, begging them to come kill you and earn money/RP. And they even turn off bad sport penalties for taking out your PV in the process. And they give you no counters or abilities (the one exception is Ghost Organization, which costs too much to be effective) to help you fight off jets; in fact, the new jobs put you in ridiculously easy target vehicles like big, slow trucks and boats to ensure that the pilot gets the easiest kill he's ever had.

 

I'll go a step further and say that anyone who can't admit that jets are unbalanced in GTA Online is f*cking lying, and just wants freedom to go around farming cheap kills on anyone who would bother trying to do any of the fun stuff they've added since late last year. This game has become a study in what it could be vs. what it really is. Until they fix what it is, what it could be is going to remain mostly unrealized potential.

What exactly would you do if you're on the ground in that situation? As you can see, the RPG didn't work at all, even when combined with suicide.

 

From those kind of angles, a sniper won't even see the jet - let alone hit it.

Now I think some of the complaining is exaggerated - there aren't jets in every session. But it is quite bad, and whatever way you paint it, there's very, very little that someone can do if a jet goes after them.

 

Any suggestions on how to counter the stuff above?

I can't think of any better way to describe what you just described

Personally, I think most people rely too much on explosives. As far as CEO work goes, you're already in a group of people working together. If another player is THAT persistent in their jet, two crew members should be able to come together and take care of it real quick with heavy snipers or even mini guns.

 

Or use the armed insurgent with a savage or buzzard escort. Jets can only shoot in one direction at a time, don't have copilot/passenger seats for assistance, and are somewhat limited to making passes if they don't want to be Swiss cheese. Take advantage of those things. When delivering and acquiring crates, stay local to each other, but don't be too close. Splitting the focus of a jet on two seperate targets makes it easy pickings, in my experience.

Some of R*'s past decisions with this game have really boggled my mind and they've put no effort into to explaining their thought process. Obviously the shark card business is a big motivator for some of the bs, but they've also done a lot of things that really just don't make sense to me even from a business standpoint. You get 2k per crate. It is pathetic. Not worth interfering with other people's business at all.

 

However, keep in mind that these people would do it for free. Even if there was no reward, a lot of them would be bombarding your van for their amusement.

 

 

Are you telling me that there are people going around in free mode killing other people? what? When did this start happening. Jesus.

 

Yeah, it's crazy. You can't go around town without someone trying to kill you anymore. They should eliminate all weapons from the game! I'm tired of having my feelings hurt.

To be fair I think it's legitimate to complain when R* took steps to separate aggressive players from passive ones, but it doesn't work.

 

Red dots are supposed to end up together but I see no evidence of this. And in any event the status resets every 24h.

Correct. I can't fathom why they would decide to nerf the tank (which was needed at the time IMO) and yet decide not to nerf the jet or add an effective counter, when jets are arguably worse than tanks even in their glorious prime. I wonder sometimes if any of their developers ever venture into public lobbies and try to play the content they add. For everything that works reasonably well, there are two other features that are little more than troll magnets.

I can't quote because I'm mobile right now, but marksman God is absolutely right. Dogfight against any of the top dogfighters on any console with a simple minigun at our disposal and we would form blisters before anyone was killed. Believe it or not but the dogfighters(and maybe those

MLG strafers on some occasion but not so much) are quite nessesary in gtas ecosystem. Competitive dogfighters really never waste their time going after ground targets, so they almost exclusively go into freemodes to down other bandits. So they keep the strafers in check. Not every person in a lazer can dogfight, actually very very few can. Strafers on the other hand(they also call themselves freemodes pilots, not the same as a dogfighter) keep the population of tank/insurgent/buzzard griefers down. Without the pilots most of you might be okay for a while, but gta would just spiral back in time to the buffed tank days without us. Don't hate us for our playing style please...

"Strafers" outnumber "dogfighters" about 20 to 1. I'd gladly jettison your playing style from the game (outside of jobs designated for that purpose) to be rid of the pestilence that is the average jet pilot. Sorry/not sorry. If there were more of you, and if you were actually keeping the others in check, it might be different... might be. However I would argue that it's really not a good idea under any circumstances to have something as imbalanced as the Lazer and Hydra in free roam. It's just too tempting to the bad element, and that element is too large in this game.
