Jerking For Soup
Every character from Far Cry, especially Jason and Ajay. Franklin and Trevor from GTA V. Might as well be 2D cutouts. Jack Marston from RDR. The biggest reason why I hate finishing the game. And slightly lesser so, the Dragonborn from Skyrim. The prophecy is decent but why am I so overpowered at the start of the game? The worst part is, nobody treats you like you are important at all. GTA-Biker
Trevor from GTA 5-he was supposed to be some psycho redneck, but he ended up being a manchild who often throws tantrums and bullies his friends,a preteen kid's idea of a badass Lincoln from Mafia 3-he fights against the mob instead of working for it,which combined with the facts that he's ex-military and he's buff like a bodybuilder makes him seem more like the knockoff Punisher than a real Mafia game protagonist Algonquin Assassin, ThatBenGuy1998 and Sanches

sabitsuki
The Fans (Hotline Miami 2) - I just thought they were really annoying. I'm glad the Son killed them all. Trevor (GTA V) - He's just really edgy with no substance other than fulfilling Rockstar's need to say "Hey! This represents all the GTA players who go on killing sprees and car chases outside of missions!". Kind of sad because he could have been a great character with better depth beyond what was shown in the game. Marcus Holloway (Watchdogs 2) - He just seems like an insufferable caricature of your average tech-savvy millennial. I was actually put off the game because of him. Lincoln (Mafia 3) - He was too much of a male Mary Sue. If you put the bare-bones tragic backstory and the association with Father James aside, he's just an overpowered and bloodthirsty brute who effortlessly goes around town killing mobsters. I think if Lincoln were designed as a character who felt more like an everyman struggling under the realities of being black in the 60s and against the conditions set against him similar to what Vito was, with his combat skills progressively building throughout the storyline, it would have be a much more effective way to show his descent into evil rather than have the story play out like black Rambo. Guest
Definitely Abby from The Last of Us 2. I was hoping to play as Joel more or Ellie, so was kind of sad when a lot of the game was playing a character I didn't like/connect with.

Guest
I don't really like Ethan from Resident Evil 7 and it's kind of one of the reasons I'm not as hyped for RE8. Just didn't connect me with me like previous leads, maybe it's the first person perspective.

The Artist
Aiden Pearce in Watch Dogs - His voice has no emotion at all and tries to talk like batman all the time Trevor in GTA V - Way too over the top and annoying to watch. Every cutscene was 'Oh look this guy is crazy!!' which got old fast Geralt from Witcher 3 - bland and boring Lincoln Clay in Mafia 3 - just a bland killing machine Edited June 6, 2021 by StuntMaster100

Darth Absentis
Franklin in GTA 5 comes to mind. While i loved Trevor for it's all out madness and Michael for having demons inside him and part of him wanting a quiet life, part of him fame and succes and part of him just would stay violent, Franklin is such a dull character with his talks about honor while at the same time.....You know scrap this, he is my least favorit character because he is the most spoiled it seems, but even he has some actual reason for his motivations and tries to keep an actual degree of loyalty. Same with Haytham Kenway of Assasins Creed 3 or Desmond. first one i felt was kinda an empty shell until halfway trough the game, and Desmond actually evolved troughout the games, but just got a bad ending and just not a lot of coverage. VenusianDream
Toni Cipriani (GTA LCS) - My least favorite person to play as in GTA. He's such a yes-man, his whole entire life revolves around Salvatore and the family. Toni has no motives, no desires, and no real personality. He does everything for the don and even goes so far as to bombing a whole neighborhood block just cause he was told to. He's evil, and not in a comical way like Trevor was. Not even Claude is as bad as Toni, at least he had a reason for doing what he does. Kyle Crane (Dying Light) - About halfway through playing this and my god Crane is such a smarmy asshole. I enjoy everything else about Dying Light except for him as a character. Sora (Kingdom Hearts series) - I started with the second game and quickly got attached to Roxas in the introduction sequence. Sora is a bit too kindhearted and pure for my taste, although he has good traits for a heroic protagonist. For some reason though I'd have preferred playing as Roxas instead, who's a bit more grounded and realistic with his emotions and personality. Mexicola9302
I didn't like playing the whiny Deacon St. John very much, in Days Gone. If there ever is a Days Gone 2, i hope it's with completely new characters. But i doubt there will be a Days Gone 2. The way he talked to himself, and always yelled at ppl annoyed the hell outta me. And what little illusion of personality he had was godawful. What a boring and disgusting character. I forgot about this topic. Surprisingly, I still stand by this opinion. Vito is a really shallow character. After Tommy in Mafia 1 he was a big downgrade. He developed some personality in Mafia 3, thank god. If there's one thing that Hangar 13 does well, it's character writing.

Exsanguination
Franklin in GTAV- I don’t buy it…. He seems like a good guy, like someone who may commit some small crimes in the hood scene but assassinations and all the other nonsense ?no….. would be more believable to me if he left the street crimes behind and got a legit job or enrolled in a local community college but that wouldn’t be very fun haha…. I’m serious Trevor in GTAV- a bit too over the top and it’s annoying to me. Both these characters hurt GTA V’s story for me. I used to dislike playing as Raiden in MGS2 even though it was one of my favorite games… as the years have passed I’ve come to like Raiden though.
