[PC] Is it possible hackers cam now change you graphics options?

I found quite strange today when I logged in and things were blury in distance and the performance overall not very good. I was on a session with an hacker that was spamming objects on me all the time, and when I checked my graphical options it surprised me to see they were all messed up. Is it possible the hacker changed my graphical options in game, or is it some different problem?

No, the graphical settings can't be changed from someone else's client, but it's possible the number of objects spawned into the session was causing lag/ reduced FPS.

Thanks for both of your replies. At the time it seemed me the most plausible justification since it never happened before and nobody else uses my PC to change anything without I'm aware.
