Member's Only
What do you consider to be either the most iconic or relatable car/bike/aircraft/boat/truck brand in this game? Either memorable experience or a brand which is based on a IRL car you drove or have memories of? I'll start Most Iconic - Declasse. Most Relatable - Maibatsu. Explaining is optional. slohbur
Most iconic - Grotti Like it's IRL counterpart, Grotti is depicted as a very prominent and prestigious car manufacturer. It's also one of the oldest car brands in the series - first seen in San Andreas - so it also has an heritage, like Ferrari. I'm not a fan of the new logo though, I prefer the old one (GTA IV). xolov, Voit Turyv, Mervz789 and 1 other
R3CON
Most Relatable: Vapid - because it's based on Ford. Ford is as common as grass. Even if you've never owned one IRL, you've seen one, driven one or ridden in one. Most Iconic: Ubermacht - This brand is home to the Sentinel and the Oracle. I'm a big fan of sedans and the Sentinel has been favorite of mine since GTA III. Vice City improved on this, San Andreas updated it and the Oracle has successfully carried this legacy in both IV and V. The 3-Series/M3 based Sentinel was a joy in IV and at least looked the part in V. If you mean iconic from an IRL perspective, the brand Ubermacht is based on BMW, so this goes without saying. Member's Only
Actually Maibatsu is the oldest brand, having been mentioned first in GTA 3 and subsequently in Vice City. R3CON and jyssys

But I don't remmeber Grotti being referenced in an older GTA. I know it was in San Andreas because they had a dealership with that name.
R3CON
Brands didn't start appearing en masse until the HD era. The 3D era mainly just had individual models - "Rumpo", "Moonbeam", "Voodoo", "Banshee" - and that was it, very few brands. As Slohbur and GradeA-Hole point out, Maibatsu and Grotti are very iconic in the GTA universe because they were among the first instances of Rockstar utilizing branding on a deeper level. nido997
hmm... welI I consider Benefactor, Ubermacht ans Pegassi as iconic Labels ... I just love all their cars , plus it´s the Infernus that always comes to my mind everytime I mention GTA Pity that Rockstar don´t care about Pfister though , I´m a Porsche fan and I really want to see more Pfister/Porsche in the game ,other than the Comet .... livejoker
Most iconic has got to be the Banshee. I've been slandering that in the Brand Elimination Game but it's just so true, at least for me. I grew up watching my older brother play video games. On the NES, N64, PS1, PS2...he let me play games here and there. Tony Hawk and some racing games come to mind but nothing speaks out more than GTA 3. He was still on the first island and he let me explore for a good hour while he went to a friend's house or something (can't recall). I ended up at the shop. You know which one. I didn't know why but it took me like 10 minutes to find a car and break the glass with it. Unsure if I could punch it, if I had a gun...but I got in after a while. Hopped in the Banshee, turned right towards the car crusher, flipped it, I blew up. Best ride of my life. I love it. It's just a beautiful car. I'd lick it. Most relatable? Unsure what you mean by that, to be honest. Which is true to their real-life counterparts or the one we relate to most in real-life? Sorry for sounding dumb. I'll go with the second one. Any crappy car since I'm not living life in Bel-Air. The Blista from GTA IV comes to mind. The GTA V Bobcat (pretty sure it's the same in GTA IV). The Ruiner as my friend had that same Camaro. IROC? Transmission fell out of it at some point and never bothered to fix it so I remember it faintly. I grew up with Chevy's as my dad is a huge fanboy so whatever the Chevy counterpart is. Chevy trucks like the SIlverado although I don't think there's any in all GTA's but I could be wrong.
GTA-Biker
I don't know what could be the most iconic GTA vehicle brand (maybe manufacturers of Banshee, Stallion, Stinger, Infernus, PCJ600...),but I guess the Western is the most relatable to me,both because I like Harleys, and because I can customize the Bagger to look similar to my RL bike. IceDree
Most Iconic have to DeClasse & Bravado. They have been around since GTA 1 in the form of Stallion & Beast GTS (which became the Banshee later on) respectively. Followed by Maibatsu & BF which had the first radio ad (The Maibatsu Monstrosity) & in the form of BF Injection respectively in GTA III. Most Relatable, for me it would be Benefactor, Übermacht & Albany. I learned to drive on a Mercedes, my favorite brand is BMW & aspire to own a Cadillac once I graduate. Shy Star
Iconic Brands - For me, as well as many others, the most iconic brand would have to be both Bravado, and DeClasse. As livejoker mentioned, the Banshee is iconic. It has appeared in every Grand Theft Auto game since GTA III, and retain a legendary status with many fans alike. For crying out loud, when GTA V first released, Rockstar made a deal with West Coast Customs to build a real life Banshee. If that's not iconic, I don't know what it is. I believe DeClasse to be just as iconic as Bravado, if not more iconic. The first thing to mention is the Stallion. I don't know why this vehicle isn't as iconic as the Banshee, but the Stallion is the first vehicle you see in GTA III's intro, and it has been around longer than the Banshee, having to first appear in the original Grand Theft Auto. It's also important to mention that a lot of DeClasse's vehicles prominently appear in most Grand Theft Auto games. The Moonbeam, and Burrito come to mind. The point is, in my eyes, DeClasse will always be more iconic than Bravado. Most Relatable Brands- As of this time, the most relatable brand for me are Dinka, Karin, and Albany. There's not much to say here, but Dinka is the most relatable to me, since I own a Honda Accord. Karin I relate to since the Subaru Impreza is my favorite road vehicle of all time. Albany, I relate to the least, but when my father first started giving me driving lessons, it was his Cadillac CTS that I drove.
