Poll: Deadliest Protagonist and Who Was Your Favorite?

Which of the GTA protagonists from GTA III on was the deadliest? The most dangerous, tough and capable.

For me, it comes down to Trevor vs Michael vs Niko vs Claude. All four would tear Franklin, Tommy Vercetti and CJ to pieces, as well as the Episodes guys and the Stories guys. Have fun!

Ignore the "favorite" part. Nothing I can do to remove that from the title now. My bad.

Well, Niko and Trevor are far deadlier than Tommy is in my honest opinion. I'm not a Niko fanboy. I can't stress this enough. The games just show how deadly Niko is by his moves. He doesn't need Ray Liotta's voice or an M60 to wipe the floor with some of the others, he can do that in his sleep. He's a war veteran from a seriously scary part of the world. Trevor has done everything Tommy has and more. Sure, Tommy stole a tank from the Army Trevor stole military equipment, too - from the base itself. Trevor went on a rampage against the Army, including tanks, and won. Tommy would have died in the first minute and respawned at the hospital.

Tommy is tough but he's more of a tough guy than he is deadly.

 

As for Michael, his special ability is key here. He can slow down time like Max Payne, who would take Tommy Vercetti ten times out of ten. Tommy is no different than any of the mooks Max Payne (and by extension Michael) fought. Michael is basically a knockoff Max Payne.

Well, in Max Payne 3 (from which Michael takes a lot of his inspiration), Max spends most of his time drunkenly complaining about how he got in these situations, too, yet he plows straight through mobsters and commandos alike.

Michael was able to hold his own in Dead Man Walking against a bunch of CIA agents, as well as in Deathwish, The Obvious approach for the Big Score, The Wrap Up, the Paleto Score, the list goes on...

I have to respectfully disagree. During the gunfight in Dead Man Walking, nobody helped Michael. Dave served only as a guide. Aside from the Jimmy cutscene in Meltdown (which was only there for comic relief), Michael had no help and he decimated like two whole squads of contractors. Also, during Blitz Play, Michael takes on an alley full of SWAT/NOOSE guys himself.

I don't think Michael sucks. I liked that he is a retired protagonist who has to come out of it. Franklin though, I think sucks because of how bland he is, but back on point, I don't think Michael is the deadliest of them all.

Trevor. He is extremely smart, easily the toughest of all GTA characters and a one man army.

 

I don't see anyone except Niko even comes close to him.
