Remove golf , remove the golf course and put a Go-kart track there instead! .Bosh ..done...

agreed ... This is making me sad, I miss playing Driv3r and driving the Go Karts on the Hidden track.

It is, despite how blatantly broken it is, it can be fun.

Yes. Balls vanishing, automated putts not landing, infinite water spouts when other players hit water hazards, wind only taking effect at random, and balls landing in the hole, sitting there, and then appearing on the other side of the hole make for a fantastic golfing experience.

In the game I'm in right now, the shot camera does not work if I change shot type.

My crew and I love to play Golf, overall it's fun and we don't have that many issues.

 

The water hazard putting is funny, we occoasianally notice wind direction not what it indicates, but we've NEVER had an auto-put not go in.

I find that the only bugs in golf are comical and don't affect the mechanics of the game. Last time I played it with a mate we both looked like we were trying to lay an egg (being polite here) when we were hitting the ball but it didn't make any difference to gameplay.

I only play when i need to up a characters strength stat really, and then really only hole 6..

I play Tennis more. Golf is good too, but just not my sort of thing.

I'll admit the wind variable needs work, but the rest of the game is fine by me. Played it the other day to build strength on my character (3rd character, Second account (EmeraldShadow316 BTW)) and it was fine bar odd wind variables (a 5mph wind is almost as strong as a 6mph while a 7 is nearly twice as powerful and a 4mph is almost nothing. The algorithms are shot to hell, but the general play is fine).

 

As for best score -9.

 

P.S -2 is pretty decent as an average (my average is about -3).

I usually finish somewhere between -9 and -12 depending on how "on" I am that day. Still trying to get it lower, but I tend to choke. LOL

 

Of course,there are the odd bad games where everything goes wrong and I'm lucky to get-3 or 4. Some of my friends I play with would get angry if they "only" shot a -10.

It has it's occasional glitches but it is by no means on my list of sh*t to complain about in GTA. It's a pretty solid minigame by Rockstar's standards.

There are definitely some frustrations, much like the actual sport.

 

The biggest challenge for me has been the trees ever since going from 360 to One. On the old console you could drive it right through for the most part. Completely changed the 2nd hole for me.

Golf problems I can deal with, tennis problems now and again with opponents delayed return swings... ... Get me going almost crazy! I need that all-set-win trophy from tennis and f*cking driving me crazy but golf is awesome. I'm been looking for some solid golfers for a good match, if anyone here plays let me know and let's golf up! best of 3games of 9holes.

I pretty consistently shoot between -6 and -8 on 9 holes and haven't run into any of these issues.

 

That's VERY good, dude. I think my best ever score was 5 under par, and that was with a lucky chip in eagle.

I play golf several times a week. Frustrating? Hello, it's golf. It is no more buggy than rest of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

You hit the other guy's ball. That's not a glitch. It's working as intended.

Golf has been broken for me for months. I cant play at all because I can not aim the ball. Rather than showing me the arc the camera just goes behind my character. It totally sucks.

 

What platform do you play on ?

 

I play on PC and its perfectly fine, just like it was on PS3.

 

But I hate when players leave when they are losing, there should some kind of ingame punishment for those guys.

Really? Haven't you heard of the gta golf mlg championship, it's one of the biggest events of the year, intense as f*ck too.

Other than that, I've only just played my first game of golf about a week ago in GTAO.

Same thing with the Arm Wrestling and Darts, which I've now done in the past week.

I played arm wrestling in the first weeks of online, that's probably one of my favourite mini games, because people would keep re matching until they won, unfortunately i damaged my controller trying too hard, also darts is a lot of fun when you play for 9000 dollars with friends.

 

Golf is boring yeah, I'd love to see rockstar make a crazy golf course.

I haven't but I don't keep an eye on crews and what they're up to. A tournament would be fun but I'd quickly go insane if I had to play the same nine holes day in day out.

 

To be fair I haven't got a clue what a golf crew would get up to but it can't be much given the limited content for it.
