d0nm0ntana
Hello, I have been trying to get it to work for a long time now so I'd be so grateful if someone could help me out.... I keep getting this error when starting GTA Vice City: I have tried to: Run the game as admin Run in 640 x 680 resolution Run in Windows 98 and XP compatibillity All and combinations of the above Add gta-vc.exe as exception in DEP Reinstall Force windowed mode in 3D Analyzer Download settings files with different solutions Run the game without settings files Update my graphic card driver Check if DirectPlay is installed (it is) Run DirectX installer (said it's already installed on my computer) I am clueless, please help! Specs if needed: 2.5Ghz dual core processor, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 Windows 10 Pro 64-bit edit: GTA III and GTA San Andreas work. Solution Silent Posted May 25, 2016 Solution Share Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) That crash is related to DEP though so revert your DEP settings to default, that is Only for essential Windows services. Also grab SilentPatch, at least the ddraw.dll component since it fixes compatibility related issues (including this specific one, but it's still better to reset DEP settings first). Wow a million times thanks man, the ddraw.dll fixed it!! The suffering is over, thanks!!
