Area bounds on floating platforms (pc)

Hey guys,

I built a typical sky demolition derby (LTS) like FUNnel Derby II and players in cars which hit the ground should be out of the play area bounds but I somehow can't figure out how to do that. I managed to set the bounds around my platforms but then the team starting points are lost and I can't set new ones, because the editor tells me they can only be set inside the area bounds (= no picking up of team starting points on the ground and placing them on my platform).

 

Does anybody know how to do that? I couldn't find any YT videos or threads to resolve the problem.

Hi teltow,

 

The team starting points have to be on the ground or on the root of a building.that is within the bounds sphere. Finding a location where the starting points are the only accessible "ground" within that sphere is the key. You can have higher ground under the structure as long as you can't get to it going through the hole in the middle I built one that I am going to delete next time I am online as I don't like it - one of the things that made me decide not to go for a third rebuild from scratch is that it is in the city between 2 skyscrapers, but a third in the middle can be reached jumping into the hole in the centre - an unwanted safe haven. I need to find a better location.

 

At least those are the building rules now, no idea if they will change when Rockstar releases the promised update to the Creator.

Hey Kangee, thank you very much. I thought there's maybe an editor glitch to do that, like the burying props into the ground thing but apparently not.

Now I have to rebuild it again =) Fun times..takes only 4 hours..
