Welll .. one of the most annoying things in gta series is unable to control your hands and unable to use equipments / gears / supplies / tools , etc... I think this should definetely be changed in gta via .. What do you think ?

I'm not sure I really understand the question.

I think he means if we'd like to interact with those particular objects. That's what I read anyway.

GTA IV let us pick things up like bricks, cigarettes, cue balls etc so they could bring the ability back with more depth of interaction I suppose.

Well I mean obviously in an ideal world, we'd be able to interact with all items in the world. Not that I see a use for interacting with a lot of the stuff in the background in GTA, but I suppose it'd be nice to be able to pick everything up and throw it.

I still feel this is all pretty vague though. I mean, in what way are we controlling the hands? One stick for each hand after engaging a specific action to interact with an item? Using VR controls?

Careful, people might start accusing OP of wanting "Object Handling Simulator: GTA version".

Signatures are dumb anyway.

No, because I don't want to see GTA turned into a life simulator.

Bath products? Camping? Fishing? Gardening?!? I'm pretty sure there's a crappy simulator of each one of these things out there, and more.

Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder...

...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

I would love at least some of the ideas. At least be able to pick up or move around every prop in the game to your advantage (e.g. throwing a cup in an apartment, throwing a table down to provide cover...)

im half and half. i like the idea of interacting with things but i dont want it to become a total sim game. i also dont want it to be too complicated to do. remember in the bureau raid in gta 5? if you chose the fire version michael had to mop the floors. that was fun because it was different and easy to do. something like that is fine. maybe there could be side missions were you work at a resturaunt like burgershot. you can take peoples order make there food and serve it to them. then later near closing you mop the floors. thats just an idea. now that i said that i kind of want that. or maybe you could work at like a parody of wal mart. were you take stock or cart driver or cashier.

As optional activities I don't have any problem with this, but I really don't want to spend a chunk of the story working a boring McJob for the sake of realism.

I don't know. Not really. I just don't see to much of a use for it.

Don't you want to to shave your beard , hair , under arms on your own ? Or cook your meal , or paint , draw sth ?? Interacting objects could offer us hundreds of things and make the game much more fun ..

I feel like your idea of "fun" differs a fair amount from most people's, more so for a game like GTA. Those things wouldn't nearly be as fun as you think they'd be, especially after the apparent initial novelty disappears.

Object interaction? Sure - a lot of people were hoping they'd expand on what was present in IV. Painting, manually shaving? No.

San Andreas , which is the best gta game in my opinion , had lots of sims features.. like you had to eat regularly , if you eat too much you'd be fat.. if you don't eat properly you'd be skinny .. you could start a relationship with girls... you could improve your strength , fight skills by work out ... you could improve your respect by gaining gang territories .. etc etc .. Almost all gta players had loved that features and still they are playing the remastered version although12 years have passed since that game came out .. I really think they should create some features like that ..

See, this is where you have to understand that different things belong in different games. I don't play GTA to shave, cook meals, paint, etc. I play GTA to steal cars, kill people, and f*ck hookers. Now, if this were the Sims we're talking about, then yes. But this is GTA we're talking about, and this stuff just doesn't belong.

Maybe this feature should be implemented sometime in the future, right now it wouldn't really work.

I. No.

II. No.

III. Other. Because I don't find them interesting nor relevant for a crime action game like GTA. You must play Arx Fatalis that offers a number of interactions with objects in the game world, if not all of what's listed on the poll. It also includes cooking. Here is a list of all the food in Arx Fatalis, and you could even see your feet and hands during combat / casting spells.

GTA is primarily a game best suited for third person perspective and what you are asking for is best suited for first person gameplay experience. In fact, I don't even understand why you made such a big list that serves no purpose for a game like GTA in making gameplay anyway interesting. The only thing I'd say is better animations that look more realistic and feel fluid in movement from first person perspective when having different interactions with the game world, including hand to hand combat, like The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Mirror's Edge, and even Outlast.

right yea it would be optional. it could be like any other minigame. also it dosent have to be just boring stuff. maybe if you worked at the store you had people acting up or breaking stuff like in club manegment from bogt. you have to throw them out or fight them. in the burgershot maybe people come to rob it and you being a gta protagonist can shoot back at them. i dont know these are just ideas im sure if rockstar implemented them they would make it be fun.

The main problem I have with this is the whole "why is my hardened criminal character doing this?" thing.

Like with the Vigilante or Fire or Ambulance missions, I've always struggled to understand the motivation of the character for doing those jobs. Even when the character has started out with nothing and been working their way to the top, it always struck me that it would make more sense for them to be committing the petty crimes that the vigilante targets had committed than going after fellow criminals. There's not even a "removing a rival" element to it.

So for a tough nut crim to decide "actually, today, I'm going to go work in a burgershot" seems a bit weird. Or waking up and thinking that instead of dealing some drugs, they're going to go and do the gardening for some rich guy for bad money.

It's a common complaint for many that there are already too many activities that aren't, well, criminal, and that detracts from their enjoyment and immersion. This seems like a massive leap in the wrong direction to me. Instead, have a mechanic built into the game for mugging people, or once you've started taking over some businesses, start a protection racket that extends to the other businesses around you. Things that will make it feel more like you're actually a criminal in a criminal world.

While I personally enjoy a lot of the non-criminal mini-games like Golf and Tennis, I'd also like to see more things that make sense for the character. Sports and hobbies kind of makes sense, depending on the character. Same with Luis' club management - there was an actual reason and justification for him to do that, he was a business owner (though I really felt like the club management was a really lame activity) so it made sense for him to do it. Doing jobs just for the sake of having activities doesn't really fit in with the GTA feel.

I'm sure that if Rockstar wanted to create an open world without the criminal element, they could make a really interesting game with these ideas, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it would be fun.

Yes because this would help with role play. However, criminal side stuff should be the focus first. If they put drug dealing/gang warfare/crime stuff and they wanted to do more stuff then I'm fine with them. Only if they put criminal side stuff though.

Might wanna have some 2 or 3 tools to break into a car, pick a lock or break a door open, or pick a lock but further then that, i dont realy need to much realism in that direction
