Which is worse?: Combat Rolling or FPS "Shuffling"?

Constantly owned by that weapon for noobs and jets? lol not really, I barely get into pvp fights in free roam, when I fight I usually do it in deathmatches and LST and I do very well, but I just dislike how pathetic trolls are, specially the ones who only play games to piss off people so they can feel better about themselves

 

I don't play the game to troll, I just love how mad some people get after getting beat on a video game. If you don't care for jets and marksmans, why are you whining? If you think it's a noob weapon, wanna do a 1v1 heavy snipers only?

I'd go with Shuffling because it seems like a a oversight on Rockstars part, I actually reported someone before I knew it was a thing because it looks that broken.

 

Combat rolling in Free aim is tolerable but in Auto it is a bit out of control. Hopefully in the next game they incorporate rolling into the player's stamina (which shouldn't be able to be leveled up to infinite) so players who run around rolling like sonic the hedgehog will have to put a bit more thought into when and where they should do it. Same goes for bullet proof helmets if they're crazy enough to bring them back, make the player's wearing them slower with shorter stamina bar.

 

yeah I'm with you on the rolling thing. In Red Dead Redemption is was just constant rolling with no delay. Luckily they took two steps toward in May Payne 3 with delaying between rolls and linking it to the stamina, but then took one step back with GTAO with not linking it to stamina.I think if youre stamina bar is higher, the faster you can perform one roll after the other though

Not to play devil's advocate here, but this is an unfair accusation. R* actually made those military vehicles available in freemode.

Unless the griefers are using mods/hacks, you have no basis for shaming or guilt-tripping players who take advantage of what is offered to them by the creators of the game.

 

Or do you really expect all players to just stick to car shows and impromptu races while in freemode?

I cornershoot, and I don't spam explosives to get easy kills, though I may do from time to time. What's wrong with cornershooting?

It's not "wrong", it's just a very cheap tactic.

During a deathmatch, when our freeroam weapons like the RPG aren't available, a player standing behind a wall or some sort of cover, is very hard to kill.

 

Doesn't seem like true PvP to me, more like player vs. wall/cover. But as I said, it's a nuisance mostly in adversary modes/deathmatches, not in freeroam.

People seem to forget that, even if some dislike it, the free roam has a notorious pvp playing style, and it's normal to apply tactics to stand a chance on a combat, there's nothing wrong with that. But well, everything's noobish right? RPG ftw! :')

I wouldn't consider cornershooting cheating; it's part of the game mechanics. I can take cover behind a wall (without pressing R1) and aim my Combat MG, and the game will shift slightly to the right, allowing me to see what's ahead behind the corner of the wall without exposing myself. I mean, I can still be taken out with rockets and such, which is funny because he called cornershooters bitches, while he uses RPGs, which can be considered a bitch weapon itself, but hey, it's free roam.

I'm not guilt-tripping no one, I'm just saying that the childish mentallity of going on a killing frenzy to raise a stat that means abslutely nothing [k/d) turned free roam into a war simulator, if people didn't worry about their ''precious'' k/d we'd see more people who enjoy a good car chase, shoot outs without RPGs, less killing on sight, less people driving armored cars, and I have access to all that, including a tank and enough money to buy a jet but I don't care about my k/d in such dumb way, so I drive normal cars and don't wear armor vests and helmets because what is the fun of playing without the challenge? oh yes, making people mad to raise self esteem, that's pathetic

I'm saying that my main focus is not trolling. I go into freemode lobbies to fight players, if they get mad or not it's not my problem, I just love getting hate messages. I only troll when there are 10 year olds on my session screaming on their mics, then I get my jet and spawn kill them repeatedly.
