Which is worse?: Combat Rolling or FPS "Shuffling"?

How do you do FPS shuffling ?

I was going to ask the same thing, first time ive heard of it.

I use them both, love getting hate messages after destroying someone with a marksman in FP. I wouldn't care if they removed the shuffling, but if it's in the game, why not using it? And what's the problem with the rolling? You just can't roll first.

 

Marksman god? Master? More like idiot who thinks it takes skill to kill with a marksman rifle and brags about it when no one cares; and to troll people with jets to raise your low self esteem is just plain pathetic

 

 

The game needs to be revamped with mechanics from GTA 4. When sniping, you should not be able to run around like a headless chicken.

 

Freeroam was supposed to be kicking it with friends, doing stunts, robbing stores and relaxing; not a free-for-all. There are designated game modes (I.e. Death matches, adversary, challenges) for the retard warriors that think KD actually means something...news flash, it means absolutely nothing.

 

Take all the freeroam fighting to an actual deathmatch and make a couple $$ for winning FFS.

I've advocated that the "chip roll" (great name BTW ) be accompanied by the clown horn sound every time it is invoked. Just to give this move the character it truly deserves.

 

 

 

Your poll is missing both as an option to choose.

As several people said above, the poll is simply a thinly disguised complaint,, not an actual poll. it's about the combination of crappy game mechanics and the pathetic community who exploit them.

Maybe it's because I play on PC where free aim is a common thing because it's much easier to aim with the mouse, but I never really saw the problem of these techniques (well, I never heard of FPS shuffling before). I use quite frequently combat roll and most people do it too and tbh I always saw it as a more advanced technique. You can't shoot while doing it (no Max Payne combat moves, yet ) and because of free aim it doesn't really put the other player in disadvantage.

If you want to move side-to-side whilst scoping and shooting, combat rolling is worse.

 

If you want to roll across the ground and then stand back up then "shuffling" is worse.

I really can't stop noticing people pretty much complain about everything, even when it seems a legit tactic. So, using the minigun and RPG, one with enormous fire power and the other that causes a fatal damage by shooting roughly at the area the other player is, seems completely acceptable arround here, yet using combat moves to try to avoid the bullets from the other guy is completely unfair?

 

What I think is that some people might be limited for some reason to easier attack tactics, and then blame those who use tactics that require some more practice to be effective. I mean, I literally laugh at people that need to use RPG or the minigun to get kills those were completely unnecessary, yet if I'm fighting someone who uses the roll move to avoid my shots, I find him a decent and more skilled (if you allow me the word) player. Otherwise, what's the point of a combat? The one who's quicker to shoot and has more health is the one that deserves the kill?

I would say FPS "Shuffling" is worse. With combat rolling if a enemy player breaks your auto aim with a roll then just aim manually for a few seconds and try to kill them during the mid roll.

Amazing how sometimes another person can literally take the words right out of your mouth. Or, uhh, brain, since I wasn't actually going to speak them.

There's the difference on the controller (the exact same reason I also said the same thing). First of, I never played this game with a gamepad, but I think it's pretty clear it's way easier to aim using the mouse than the analogs of a gamepad. Because of this, not only if you play using a mouse auto aim doesn't do anything, but it's also much easier to aim.

I was in a heavy-sniper fight yesterday with a level 400...man, that motherf*cker was hard to hit, he had a really good strafing technique.

Yep I know, and according to those who use them (and according to logic) it makes it way better for driving and piloting aircrafts, I just don't have one because I never decided to invest 15/20 on one, plus the majority of games I play are better with keyboard & mouse. Kinda off-topic but I always consider to buy instead a Xbox One controller since it's much more comfortable and wireless unlike most cheaper PC controllers, but then the price raises...

Constantly owned by that weapon for noobs and jets? lol not really, I barely get into pvp fights in free roam, when I fight I usually do it in deathmatches and LST and I do very well, but I just dislike how pathetic trolls are, specially the ones who only play games to piss off people so they can feel better about themselves

Personally, I don't have a high opinion of the marksman rifle, if it's combined with shuffling. Because then you can just run left and right, hold the trigger, and you don't really have to place your shots that well. I put it on par with the minigun, if I'm honest.

But it's all just virtual weapons anyway.

If you have something to say, there's no need to hide it behind a color. Because you know what? I totally agree with you, 100%. Yes, as time goes on public sessions are getting awful again, and don't believe anybody who says otherwise because they're either lying or are very lucky.

 

Anyways, that was clearly not what I meant, and I think I never gave reasons here on the forums for people to treat me like if I'm another PC bragger douche. All I said is that when using a mouse those things aren't a very big deal since it's easier to aim. Well, this being said, let's go back on topic.

I don't think it's an hard weapon to use either, but neither that easy and "noobish" like some people [Gabriela_L, here] are trying to make it look like, because it is not. It's one of my main picks for medium fighting, but I never even thought of the possibility of using it to get easy kills or even compare it to a jet wtf...
