No, If Rockstar wants to get paid making us lose everything in online is a horrible decision. That would piss off all the whales and buyers of shark cards. The FAR more intelligent way to get money out of them is to add a second city so they need to earn all the racecars, Merryweather vehicles, properties, clothes. essentially all the things we spend cash on would need to be bought again to have in the new city, and no one loses anything. Rockstar makes bank, people stay happy.

^^exactly BitBasher. The only guy on this thread making any sense. If R* wish me to invest in any new games/expansions etc this is exactly their course of action, anything else and I'm out.

Yep you have to get people to buy the game first. No reasonable person would upgrade to a new version of an online game with loss of the old stuff. Anyway as I said before GTA VI doesnt exsist and may never exsist. Online still needs a LOT of work, that's why rockstar have said themselves ALL GTA employees are working on GTA online, how exactly are they making GTA 6? the office cat is doing it?.

No, If Rockstar wants to get paid making us lose everything in online is a horrible decision. That would piss off all the whales and buyers of shark cards. Look. All I'm saying is. They should Stop cash cards, two weeks before the realise. Giving you a decision to continue with the same character with nothing, or start afresh. If the don't avert our funds from making it into the next game. Everything will be expencive because that would have no choice but to make a profit out off shark cards again...

Maybe they won't lock things with a specific level, but rather how many times you have to level up to get it. Example: If you're level 382, you need to level up 25 times (to rank 407) to unlock something.

Transferring and then giving folks massive new piles of stuff to buy will hurt a lot less than to piss off and lose the business of the small percentage of your players actually buying Shark Cards.

Remember those things called.......shark cards? Rockstar turned off a whole version of the game to make more money. Everyone will be saying goodbye to all of your money and all your progress.

They didn't turn off a version of the game, it's still running, it is just not getting further updates.

 

Even better, people that played on PS3 are fully allowed to migrate their account forward taking with it all of the things they have bought and earned so that they can move their progress to a new platform that is still being updated. All without them losing anything.

Rather keep my rank and money in the next installment. It's not my problem someone didn't play GTA Online earlier. Like exclusive content when transferring. Didn't play LG? Too bad, so sad..
