Removed missions

FYI Close Action, Coasting, Coveted, Crystal Clear Out II, Crystal Clear Out III, Dirt Road, Factory Closure and Potshot are still there.

The removed missions are A Boat in the Bay, ATV Steal, Chemical Extraction, Docks to Stock II and Pickup Sticks (+American Exports).

 

I'm also kinda pissed off because old random events were removed.

 

Indeed. It's still a bit ridiculous though that the only way to play the non-contact missions is to either find the time-sensitive job corona that appears on the map, or have one of them bookmarked on the map or in a bookmarked playlist.

Thanks to this thread I started up Coveted yesterday then played a bunch more non-contact-contact-missions with friends & randoms, had a blasty blast so I just want to say thanks Fearx

Coasting iirc had something like a 4% rating. They removed it and brought it back a couple of times before removing it completely - unless its on the map at a certain time

Yea Coasting is a Freemode mission so it's only found on the map. Many of the ones the OP want to play are readily available.

You need to go to the starting point between those times. I thought it was always that way so i'm not sure what was removed for those missions.

 

Those missions are not on the jobs list nor are they to be seen on the voting screen; it wasn't like this before iirc. I shouldn't have to go through the time and hassle to go and look for them, and to start them at certain times is silly. They should be as easy to play as Los Santos Connection and Trash talk, which means I should be able to go onto the jobs list from the pause menu and start it up myself, or be able to select it from the voting screen after completing a mission.

Still no clue why boat in the bay was removed. Absolutely epic mission and was bug free. One day *gone*. That was one of my biggest Rockstar hate inducing moments.

It took long playing it solo but I really liked the starting area. Wish it was back in the game.

 

Bet the starting point would look real nice on current gen.

 

It was great on current gen on a foggy day, best mission ever for sniping and newbies would always get ripped apart in the rocks.

Yeah, and simply be able to select them from the voting screens, but no, you can't. If you can play Los Santos Connection and Trash Talk, for example, from the jobs list at any time or voting screen, why can't you do the same with Coveted, CCOII, CCOIII, Potshot, Coasting, etc.? It makes no sense whatsoever.

They used to be in the mission list.That's what I implied, dude, now they're no longer there and I cannot think for any good reason that they did this other than the fact that these missions were so easy to grind that everyone got a handsome bank account, and that obviously is what pisses off Rockstar the most.

I'm permanently banned from Rockstar Support, so I don't think I can. But regardless, I don't think will attend to the issue anyway, and they will most likely send you an automated, copy and paste response. Or, you will be ignored. You're dealing with a crappy third-party support staff, not the actual devs, so don't expect anything valuable and good to come of it.

It's pretty simple, really. Rockstar has decided that GTA0 is only about PvP, which requires much less design effort. So, as they get around to it, they are removing PvE content.

That's what I implied, dude, now they're no longer there and I cannot think for any good reason that they did this other than the fact that these missions were so easy to grind that everyone got a handsome bank account, and that obviously is what pisses off Rockstar the most. I'm not sure why either but those missions all have the option to choose the starting time & weather. That may have something to do with it.

Anyways, trying understand R* logic is pointless.

If you know what playlists to look for you can get many of the missing missions back. Coveted, CC3, CC2, PotShot, Coasting and Pickup Sticks. I can play them whenever. Thing is they will not show up on your mission list but rather on the map with a yellow star and a check mark next to it.

 

The only one you can't play or find again ever is Chemical Extraction.

 

What you do is look for playlists on social club add them to your account. After you finish the mission each time in the playlist you bookmark it on the lobby screen. It saves the bookmark on your map and then you can quick launch them whenever you want.

Pick Up Sticks was a really fun mission, anyway it is the same rockstar logic that was followed with the old freemode events.

 

They are still in the game but they decided that we can't play them any more, I can't understand why they are thinking like this!

 

A great example are the many missions that are still in the game but they are not in the job list in the menu, there is no reason to not put them there, they are fully functional and in the game why we can't access them easily?

 

They have even designed the interior of bahama mamas, they paid some employers to design it and to write the code and include it in the game and they simply just won't open the door for us! This is something already in the game designed and ready but no they decided to waste all that work already made by not opening it.

The removal of missions and the lack of any new ones are one of the main reasons why going back to this game is so hard for me. I don't want to do PvP.

 

Give me missions ffs, or at least open up the mission creator so I can make my own.

Yeah, this is just sad. I mean, we all know that this is mostly PvP headed, GTAO I mean. But it's incredible they just remove missions and remove the ability to select those other time-locked missions (which doesn't make sense anyways, you can change time of day and weather on these, its awesome cause you can even set a "mood" to them with those choices). I can only HOPE they get their heads out their asses one day...

I recently started a new character on PC, and I find that the contact missions which show up in the voting screen are only ones that I have played since I started. Maybe some players started at the right time in the history of GTA0, or between patches or something, such that these disappeared missions didn't get deleted their voting screens.

 

On my PS3 characters, all these deleted missions being discussed are gone for me, as well, never in voting screens any more.

They made a good game but no doubt about it rockstar management must be the biggest bunch of arseholes on the planet. Never seen such iron fisted freaks in my life.

It was a Lester mission that took place in the subwaystation near Del Perro apt. I think there were more than 1 of those missions that only were available during downtime. I tried googling them but can't find them.

No, it was a 2 player mission here http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Del_Perro_Station with lots of FIB people. When the rockstar services were unavailable and u joined a contact mission that one came up. It was like in 2013 or 2014

Right, but if I complete Coveted, for example, will it still show up on the voting screen if I'm in a game with another player who hasn't completed it? Because Coveted has never showed up on the voting screens before, and I do missions daily each day I come on, so does that mean nobody else has ever completed Coveted before, or does that mean everyone else in the game must have completed the mission as well for it to show up for everyone?

 

Sorry, I'm confused.

No mission ever appears on the voting screen straight after you've played it...and yes, everyone gets the same choices on the next mission screen (how would you be able to vote otherwise?).
