Making a Movie

Hello everyone,

I made a post back in February asking if any of you guys and girls would be up for starring in my next movie. I had a few offers of support from the community but unfortunately only one or two of them were actually genuine. I am here again to 1. Show off my new film and 2. See if anyone would be willing to act in a future project I have planned.

Back in February I had a story planned out to create a film about an FIB agent who found a way out, after months of retirement he is forced back into the world of blood, money and sex as he attempts to assassinate the new Los Santos City Mayor and prevent her evil plans. After working on the project for a week I decided to scrap the footage I had managed to shoot with my actors in favour of a scaled down story (Due to actor limitations and their only being 4 of us).

A Los Santos Dream was born from the scrapped project.

"Nicole a young and beautiful women has left behind the dark and shady streets of Liberty City in hope to live the Los Santos dream. After her arrival at Los Santos we quickly see that the LS dream is not all it is made out to be."

A Los Santos Dream is a grounded project and my first attempt at a major narrative driven film. We follow Nicole and her path to becoming an assassin when all she wanted was a fun LS glamour lifestyle.

The struggles I had with A Los Santos Dream include: Not having the available voice talents, grammar and spelling issues.

I hope you enjoyed the film or part that you watched and now it is time for me to talk business. I am looking to create another smaller in scale project in the near future that involves me having a larger cast, would anyone be interested in having a part in this project. The roles are all major in their own way and although I can not offer much in the terms or payment or rewards I can promise fun evenings making new friends and seeing a film come together that you had a vital role in.

If you are interested then contact me on PSN: smitj019

Only open to Playstation 4 Users

Shooting takes place between the hours of 8-11pm UK time

No Mic or Personal Details are required to be apart of the project!

I admire your dedication you put into this, but to be honest, it is just way too long to watch without voice acting. Seems well made however for the most part.

Thanks for your feedback and honesty! It is one of the things I hate about the project but it is something I am working on with my next project :)

evoluon--720

cop a cheap usb mic and grab a few friends do voice overs. Should be dope.
You have the integrity and attention to detail, just add in that extra dimension to bring it to life.

I have PS4, message me if there is room for a cast member ;)

I know it's not what you're going for but I'd be a lot more keen to watch a short five minute film, voice acted or not, than what I'm assuming is a feature length film. I say I'm assuming because only the first video worked for me so I'm guessing they're all the same length roughly.

I wouldn't watch a ninety minute silent GTA film by say Tarantino so it's too much of a leap to watch one by an unknown.

How about making a series of five minute films that each tell a focussed self contained story but if watched in order tell a more ambitious over arching story? I'd also play around with filters to give it a bit more of a distinctive style, even if you turn filter strength right down it will add a little something to visual style without looking over the top.

Thanks for the ideas! I knew this going forward with the project and as a result I released it one every day so it would not be as hard to watch. My next project is planned to have a single voice actor acting as the mysterious voice on the radio, he or she will commentate, order and laugh at the characters throughout. I am looking to have it focus on one or two characters at a time and release it again in shorter less narrative driven parts.

You mentioned using a filter, I am not sure as to whether or not you saw my previous project

or my short clip form a film I cancelled mid production
both of these experiment with filters and lighting :)

EDIT: Also the parts very but the action in the following parts is more entertaining then the slower opening. Some parts can not be played on mobile apps due to copyright.
