no restrictions, i have already spent 10 million on those vehicles i'm not spending any more money, ridiculous idea.

It makes no sense to not have it limited. Specially when you consider that the weapons you buy and use on foot are limited. In fact, unlimited ammo in a player vs. armed vehicle situation is borderline game breaking if the player has no explosives(which was how it used to be to a low level against a griefer in a tank, back in the old days).

 

Limit the explosive rounds(of any vehicle) to a maximum of 500;

 

Jets gets four rockets, two homing rockets and two non-guided rockets, everytime you use a rocket, you can see it leaving the wings of the aircraft, same applies to helicopters.

 

Tank gets 10 rounds/cannons/missile/whatever, additionally having it's machine gun fully functional with 1000 non-explosive rounds would be nice;

 

That's how I would want it, it's like that on the most decent warfare games

 

Also, "nothing in this game should be limited" whoever said that is a moron, it would ruin PvP more than it is already ruined, sticky bombs and land mines everywhere(your apt. entrance, your garage entrance, all LSCs, etc...), RPG spammers, Minigun Rambos...

 

I can't even fathom on how fun that could be to anyone.

Pay for it, everybody else on the ground has to pay for their ammo, why shouldn't jets? I'd include tanks and the other armed Pegasus vehicles in that too, before the jetters think I'm coming after them again.

probably cause you payed $3million for your jet?

I don't have to pay a single dime to get a Lazer(which is 10x better in combat than the Hydra) from the base, or a Buzzard from the helipads for that matter.

And missiles should be limited to what is seen

 

Buzzard has 14

Jets have 6

Savage has a f*cktone

 

And op your poll is sh*t, 10000 minigun rounds get used fast

Only for the Hydra and Lazer, maybe if you spamming shells out of the tank, the barrel could heat up and you have to wait a few seconds before firing again, would make it easier for people like me, who enjoying blowing up tanks with RPGs.

 

But as pointed out already, it couldn't work because as soon as you run out, you could just ditch the vehicle and get a new one. Unless they added a cool down period on the Hydra, but you could still go back to the base and steal another one.

 

In saying this, I would love to see a limit to the explosive rounds on a Hydra and a cool down period, nothing more annoying than shooting down a jet, just to see the player go straight into passive mode and head for a new hydra!

I worked my ass off solo to buy the tank.. And worked my ass off again solo to buy the savage and the hydra only to get a "f*ck you" the next week when they were half off 😡 I didn't spend that much of my time to earn all of that money just to spend more of it out of the blue.

Overall I wish GTA was a bit more realistic about the weapons and ammo you can carry. I really doubt that we'll see this kind of game mechanic in GTA ever though.
I'd like to see similar "class" weapon system that Max Payne had. But also the "class" system would only mean weapons, not perks or any BS like that.
You could own all of the weapons in your apartment but you would only be able to carry a fraction of them around in free roam.

So back to this thread: I wish that all the armed vehicles would spawn with realistic amount of ammo free of charge the first time, and you could buy refills after (not through interaction menu),

Why don't you learn to use the game mechanics to your advantage if it irritates you so much? Passive mode work's.

This game is completely surreal now, with update changes to gameplay seemingly decided by sheep on drugs (not the band).

 

The respawn-kill repetition of GTA4 was arrested by making ammo a chargeable product, while purchased military vehicles have unlimited ammo, so it was all about money, play the game properly, make money, buy ammo to go on rampages and beast other players.

 

Undone by money glitches/modding, but that's another story.

 

However, with R* making the Lazer jet free, OP and obtainable in free mode, then adding a "purchase ammo" option in the inventory screen, the game has become completely skewed. We may as well all glitch cash and buy as many rockets as we want to even play the game. Who's even racing or parachuting these days?

 

Even if they changed the ammo settings to "purchasable", those with nearly unlimited funds might still be able to replenish their stocks whilst airborne. Completely unrealistic and against the idea of everything else implemented.

 

What the f*ck are you doing R*? It's too late to make things like this right, they won't want to piss off their current regular customers.

None of your guns cost anywhere near $3 million though.

 

Whether you agree with it or not, it's kind of a valid point.

 

 

You should see how much I spend on ammo after freemode wars. I think the price tag is irrelevant, the idea of unlimited ammo leaves a lot to be desired. $3 million wouldn't buy you a jet and unlimited ammo from the manufacturer thrown in for good will.

 

I played freeroam yesterday for the first time in a year. 30 kills from about 100 rounds. Pretty cheap!. I was just sniping people from my yacht lol. There were two other yachts within sniper range and an active organization with each.

the game already have way too many of those

 

 

there may be too many of them, but they are all on the wrong things and not on the stuff that actually needs it. There needs to be a few cooldown timers/limits in regards to the fighter jets.... passive mode needs to be 100% disabled while in a jet, and for a length of time once out of the jets, there also needs to be one that makes it so a replacement can not be immediately called for, and to go with this topic, something needs to be done about the explosive ammo, because as already pointed out, the people using the jets only need to hit within 15 feet of you to kill you, and as a result the only places to avoid them completely is underground in the tunnels, in your garage/apartment, or on your Yacht (or in passive mode). They either need to remove the explosive ammo altogether, slow down the firing rate of it, or limit how many times it can be used in a short period of time...

 

the way it is right now it is out of control, it's to the point where you can't go longer than 5 minutes in a session before there is at least two people hiding in the jets going aound blowing everyone up.

it always being like that, there have always being people in jets, the thing is that in the past people focused on the tank, which was easier to use, but there have always being the jet pilots patrolling and killing people.

 

i agree passive should be disabled not only while in a jet but on any armed vehicle.

 

anyway, im sure R* is well aware of this "issue" for the past few years and if they have done nothing that means is working as intended.

 

i mean it took them just a few months to nerf the sh*t out of the tank, if they were planing on doing something about the jet, they would have done it already!

Vehicle whores will always be a problem until ammo is limited, in every game that has vehicles. At least make them go land their plane or heli to re arm and take their armored/weaponized vehicles to a few specific locations to re arm
