Best Shootout Mission

Would make this a poll if I wasn't mobile. Grr. V had quite a bit of shootout missions. The atmosphere in Dead Man Walking was unreal, same goes to The Long Stretch. The Wrap Up's lack of cover is challenging too. What is your choice? Pick based on shootout, not the mission itself.

For me it´s "Mr. Philips". The chaotic shootout in Stab City and the soundtrack are just awesome.

I like the Lamar down shootout because of the different ways you can approach it. You can get into the bulldozer and ram the sh*t out of cars Ballas are using for cover while performing a drive bye, you can just go charging through the front entrance using Trevor's special ability, and while Trevor's causing chaos around the front you can have Franklin sneak around the back and flank them or switch to Michael and snipe a few from the vantage point. Lots of cool ways to approach the shootout.

I think that all of the crazy shootout missions are awesome. Its tough to pick a winner. Rescuing Michael was insanely fun. Mr Phillips, Bury the Hatchet, The Paleto Score and pretty much ALL the heists, the shootout part of Third Way, and on and on.

I loved the one where you meet with Haines and Dave somewhere on the hills, I'm not sure where it is, then the UL Paper man shows up, then Trevor shows up, great mission.

Hood Safari.

 

Was great to get stuck in to some good'ol gang action like it was in back in the SA days but in HD. Sadly, there was very little of it in the game. Hood Safari was Franklin's last gang mission in LS, and that was before even a quarter of the game was finished.

Hood Safari is just a blast from start to finish. A lot of fun. Love the story behind it with Trevor exposing the coke con, the gang shootout, and the chase on the Sea Sharks at the end.

 

MaxEtotti, I agree with you. The Wrap Up is another classic mission!

The big score obvious approach have a massive gunfight too, I loved that one. Trevor philips enterprises shootout is also very intense, even more if you try it with the double barreled shotty or the revolver.

The score was intense and the build-up was worth the long drive.

 

The Third Way.

Once again, the build-up was intense. Not only the trio was in a f*cked up situation were they had to work together but they also to endure their arguments and bickering once again in a moment of life or death.

Really loved Franklin's remark (that I'll poorly quote): "Why am I risking my ass to save your lives when you're just gonna pop each other?"

I loved every shootout mission. Unlike Online, the AI is actualy much more fun to fight which I am not sure why it is.

 

Its a shame R* hadn't given us a SP dlc.

yeah actually two of the better shootouts are the Altruist event and the Construction Assassination event (both side quests)

 

the motel shootout/dropped suitcase is a great little set up too.

Forgot too mention the altruist shootout.

Yeah, the altruist shootout is great too. And we get a decent payout when we collect the four briefcases that spawn in the camp afterwards.

That shoot out in Blitz Play. First time I played through I was completely overwhelmed by how unrelenting it was. And if you decide not to switch character, you can pretty much just shoot wave after wave of cops.

GTA 4 was extremely boring and was only saved by outstanding DLC -sh*t my bad wrong thread.
