So we went from double RP across ALL DM, LTS, Captures and Adversary Modes in Combat week, to just Capture week, ppffff got to be kidding me. f*cking hell, if R* keeps traveling on this trajectory, next week, we'll have double RP Tennis and Golf. They sure are taking the piss on this one.

 

This next DLC better be friggin huge, otherwise, it's gonna get pretty quite on the streets of Los Santos soon.

I did! Not sure why, mainly because of it's unique ability to take a couple of rockets before it explodes and to complete my Pegasus Collection.

I look at this as just ways to get me playing modes I normally don't to earn some extra cash and get discounts on things I'm already going to buy. These event weeks are keeping the game fresh for me.

I personaly dislike those car discounts for real to be honest.

If people destroy my car i want them to pay full price.

And if i actualy destroy them myself(wich rarely happens) i also prefer to pay full price as a better reminder so i do not make the same mistakes twice

 

Edit: so this means the discount on the dubsta 6x6 is over ?

R* definitely do troll us. My opinion of R* has changed drastically since GTAV/O. I used to hold them in such high regard. Over these past few years I've gradually come to dislike R* after all of this GTAO bs

For anyone who wants to level up.

Create a contend capture map with 20 gang members to kill (50 RP each)

Take turns in collecting and holding bags, you can earn a massive 19,000 RP for 4 rounds if played correctly, also 10 grand (each round) if you let the timer run to under 2 mins remaining on each round.

 

Example.

Kill 20 gang 1000rp

Pick up 7 bags 350rp

Deliver 7 bags 1400rp

Pick up 8 bags 400rp

Deliver 8 bags 1600rp

 

Do that each round (4 winning rounds) and get 19,000rp. Take it in turns to win

On GTAF probably, since people only come here to hate on the game, R* and Santa Claus. Don't forget to mention that you don't play GTA, but xyz 1-7, which is soooo much better.

 

There are people who really enjoy the 2x $ for captures and enjoy playing well created captures in general. Including me. It's just too short with 2x$ only for a weekend, but it's one of the best event weeks so far. I'm happy that it pays double for decent custom created content and you actually get randumbs to join captures. Well, they still don't like them, because they require teamwork and not being a complete idiot, which seems to be too much to ask for. It doesn't surprise me that the most popular user created jobs don't require teamwork and reading abilities. I'm pretty sure that chimps could be good at Rockets vs Insurgents. They probably would not complain on the forums every week though, regardless what event is going on.

 

The time between the teasing and the release of IGG was one month. Now people expect an update right after the teaser. Maybe the average GTAF member should join a capture lobby today to pass the time. You are in good company since the "Start it! Start it! Staaaart it nooooow!" squeakers are already there.

I may be crazy to say this, but I actually like playing most of the captures. (There's a few maps I don't like). The biggest thing I don't like is how long it takes to get someone else in one (let alone 4-6 players), but that's as much or more to do with the playerbase as it is with the game mode itself. Made a good 72K just playing 3 captures (2 1 round, 1 3 round sweep) this weekend. Sadly the event seems to have only slightly increased the number of other players playing them.

Play them both with the same time limit and I can guarantee that you'll get more RP and probably cash with the capture. Then again, people mostly prefer more cash than RP anyway.

That's not true, unfortunately, because the 2x money made a lot of randoms join captures. I'm not even sure if 2 player captures pay more. The payout of LTS is based on time and the amount of players, while capture payouts are based on time only. The LTS payout system is kind of stupid. If a LTS is played with a lot of players, it should automatically take longer. At least if it doesn't include rockets.

 

I personally don't care about the 2x money. I bought my second golden plane this weekend, so i really don't need it. But it was very nice to get a bunch of randoms to join cool stuff. For me it was better than contact mission week. 2x RP only doesn't really encourage people to join a job. I get burned out on every other gamemode after two or three days, not on captures though. There is so many different and creative stuff made, I wouldn't even mind a capture month.

 

Captures/the capture creator have flaws/not enough options. But that doesn't justify the hatred towards the gamemode at all. The R* created captures are pretty lame, but that's also a general problem and goes for every other gamemode as well.

 

I don't get what people want these days. They go on call for random jobs, if it's a deathmatch, they leave. If it's a race, they leave. If it's a capture they leave. If they stay and don't win, they quit two seconds before the match is over. And then they complain about being in the clouds and not having any money. So appearently they don't want to drive, don't want to shoot, don't want to collect any objectives. Maybe not play GTA then?

Yeah to all the all the people who want more heists and missions when you play Captures if you add a story line and make your own thing like "Oh we're stealing condoms stored in duffel bags" It's actually pretty fun tbh
