Can someone explain why the MM rifle is so good for pvp?

Great range with a scope, accuracy and rate of fire, all of this makes up for the weaker damage per bullet.

 

Plus you can run while aiming with the scope (can be also done with the other sniper rifles but they lack the rate of fire to be pratical).

I had the heavy waaaay before the marksman was introduced so it's never had any appeal to me. I also can count on one hand the amount of times I've been killed by it. As soon as I see someone dancing side to side I just walk out of their range. I don't deal with idiots.

 

It shouldn't be removed but it's users don't get any respect from me either.

This needs to be removed. It takes 0 skill to use at all. I've literally just danced left and right w/ it just SPRAYING and I've gotten too many kills with it. The gun is just a spray and pray machine. Hell I could play with my elbows and still get 5 kills with this gun.

The amount of 1st person strafing kiddos with this Autism gun is ridiculous. I'll be having a war with somebody....and xXAuTisMoxX comes over, blasting his chromosomes at me with this trash.

Yes or jyst remove the ability to side strafe while zoomed. Its beyond stupid watching some try hard wiggle as fast as possible for a cheap kill. It adds a quite pathetic gameplay element.

No need to remove it, just slow it down until the character aims at the same speed of stealth mode.

As a "sniper"..

I don't think it needs to be removed. I've had hate for the marksman but I've accepted it just like everything else. It's one of the only real dangers I run into other then a good jet pilot. Somebody wants to dance I'll dance but as soon as they start the EWO abuse I'll stop playing with them.

 

I prefer the heavy over the marksman but I'll play the marksman dancing game if someone wants to try that sh*t on me.

 

(I was going to get the numbers I have with these weapons but my social club is showing my second character stats unfortunately.)

 

Approximately +3000 player kills with heavy sniper

 

Approximately a few hundred with the marksman.

 

Again numbers are estimated because the SC is showing second character stats and she just started.

No I don't want to see it removed, I think it's a cool looking gun that can be used to mix things up in both PvP & PvE. However, I do want to see the first person 'dancing' gone. In fact, I don't think movement with any sniper should be available.

 

Just the other day I encountered someone showing me their dance moves out in Grapeseed and I quickly decided that they weren't worth my time.

it should be nerfed, but not removed.

 

Just decrease the damage and range to that of the machine gun and decrease the firerate to that of the pistol

 

edit: and for crying out loud, just disable walking with anything in the sniper rifles class.

^ that would literally make the gun useless and I like to move while aiming my sniper. Adjustments need to be made sometimes. I'm glad they added the ability to move while aiming.

I removed it from my weapon wheel with the gun locker along with the other sniper, I just use the heavy. Marksman spammers don't usually live long enough to kill me with it.

While annoying to get killed by the try-hards behaving as if this is CoD, I don't think it should be removed or nerfed.
There are worse things in the game as of now.
ALSO. Marksman Rifle spammers usually aren't good at long range. Use that as your advantage. Get out there, put some distance. :panic:

You assume too much sir, I ONLY play in Free Aim. That's why I don't know which aim bot the person was referring to because there isn't any in free aim.

You've probably been killed by marksman a myriad of times, for you don't know what weapon an opponent has used on you unless you're close enough to see it in there hands.

 

I'm sure you've been "scoped" before and anything related to sniping would allow the possibility of you being killed by a marksman.

 

Especially because of it's popularity and usage.
