MyName'sJeff
You say it's sad but then say you're apathetic about it all in the same paragraph, which is it? It is also not something that's out of your control, anybody can contribute to combating climate change. Are you sure you aren't mixing climate change with global warming? Climate change is a natural process of the earth, every once in a while, the earth begins to go through warming and cooling processes which fluctuate, causing different whether phenomenons and scarier weather in that process. The ice age is the best example of climate change, and now, the melting of the ice caps in antarctica. Global warming is a man made process that causes the planet to unnaturally take in harmful chemicals which can cause pollution, unnatural temperatures around the world. This is something that can be fixed however as spoken in the previous 2 pages. To compare them in simple terms, global warming is basically us humans poisoning the Earth, unlike climate change which is basically the earth constantly adjusting to its own body, like when we feel ill, we either have a raised temperature or a lower temperature than usual. dudclub55
Global warming is only one of the products of climate change, we affect the climate in more ways than just global warming, like causing drought, more intense storms, eutrophication, etc. etc. Climate change is not just the earth doing its thing, it's just that, a change in climate, and it can be good and bad. Wastelander (Suzuki)
I watched an documentary and even read a few reports that state U.S has enough oil in the state of Alaska alone to supply the world with oil for at least 100 more years, one problem, most of it is under protected land. The Middle East on the other hand (worlds current supplier of oil) only has a few more years under its belt, no thanks in part to ongoing wars, and the Iraqi army lighting most the oil wells in the path of their retreat on fire during the Gulf War, so as it stands, the current suppliers of oil are about to ran out. Many places outside the Middle East still have massive oil reserves buried underground waiting to be tapped into, again the problem is the most massive reserves are under protected land, so we either bite the bullet and drill for it anyways or start making Hydrogen engines. Clem Fandango
Is it sad that future generations are going to suffer from climate change? Yes I think it's very sad. Is there anything I can do about it? No. I was perfectly content before I was born and I will be perfectly content when I'm dead. Climate change just isn't something I concern myself with or worry about because it will never effect me. Its not worth adding yet another pointless concern and worry to my life. Which is why I'm apathetic about it. I figure that worrying about stuff that's out of my control and will have no major impact on my life is pointless. "Maybe you not giving a f*ck was really just you giving a f*ck all along"... If you truly didn't care, then you wouldn't find it worthy of comment, reflection, or even acknowledgment. Perhaps you don't know how to give a f*ck about climate change in an honest way, so you choose not to. That's understandable. But it's a bit different than apathy. Perhaps I'm using the word apathy wrong. Because I'm fully aware of climate change and the effects it will have. I just don't spend any time worrying about it. So whatever the word for that is I guess describes how I feel. 'Reckless irresponsibility'? Well that's two words but yeah. Niobium
at least don't be a douche and try to actually care about the people who will replace your generation. rant: the older generations (such as the baby boomers) are the worst generations. the people in those generations fu*ked up the planet and they don't even care because they're gonna die soon, yet they have this disgusting audacity to say that our generation is fu*ked up because "everyone is on there fone lmao" even though in their free time these people complaining about phones sit on their ass all day watching something as primitive as T.V. (which is trash anyway because of sh*tty commercials and mindless shows.) Edited June 3, 2016 by Niobium mr quick
Not A Nice Person
It's mostly the generation before Silent Spring who f*cked up the planet.

Triple Vacuum Seal
Sure... not any of our faults, with all out driving and buying plastic things, phones we toss out every 2 years, etc. It's all THEIR fault. F*ck them. To be fair, the older generations are the ones who design these phones to be thrown out every two years and market them as such because they are the most senior members in companies that perpetuate environmental destruction. We also learned our sh*tty values from them ( $ > sustainability, hyper consumerism, apathy, etc.). But I do agree that it's useless to blame individual generations. We're all degenerates by design. Soon we'll catch up to them in terms of destruction. F*ck them. And K-Cups. Let me brew one cup of coffee and add unnecessary trash to the planet at the same time. f*ck! I don't care if you think it's alright because you 'recycle'...each k-cup is a useless piece of sh*t(in some form or another) piling up on the planet. I'm proud to be from one of the "trash the planet" generations. But really...we didn't trash the planet and when I think back on everything, we were't as 'disposable crazy' as people think or say. Heck, we didn't even have all the plastic water bottles that pollute the planet these days. And when we weren't drinking water out of the faucet from a reusable cup most of the soft drinks and beers and stuff were in exchangeable glass bottles. We might have had less restrictions on industry polluting the planet and f*cking up the ozone but as everyday people we had no control over that. AlienTwo
I've heard that the Kurieg guy deeply regrets inventing it. He didn't forsee how popular, and thus wasteful, it would be. I also heard the Segue dude also regrets his invention, but I can't recall why... trip and Triple Vacuum Seal 2 http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u330/AlienTwo/GTA/PMBO/PBMO%20Porch%20Sig_2_zpsz7irpplx.png
Triple Vacuum Seal
K-Cups are a ripoff. But the Keurig gets a bad rap. If you are a time, $, and environmentally-conscious consumer, then you can just buy the reusable ones. You can then have higher quality coffee for less than a quarter of the cost. trip
For a single cup. Melitta one cups have been making great single cups of coffee for as long as I can rememner. I'm not kidding. OT: There is a good documentary The Emperor Wears No Clothes where the guy is convinced that we could reduce our need for petroleum products if we simply just legalized hemp (not weed). He sells a convincing argument. Honest - the doc (or book) is worth a look...pretty educational and it isn't pro weed like. As a matter of fact NORMAL don't like this guy because he is so loud and bold and the NORMAL people feel he f*ck up their arguments and approach. Dwnld
I think there may be a world wide nuclear war within 30 years which destroys all life so none of us is going to see it. Running outta oil is the least of our problems in the future.
