FranklinsIron
Sometimes, if I'm battering a game. Will wake up 4/5am and play to say 7:30am until I need to get ready. Say if I wake up at 8, and know I'm going out for the day at say 1, I find it really hard to play. Reason I think, is because I know I can't relax, have to go out etc. Also hate playing games fully dressed. Couldn't sit in my suit before work playing or in jeans, hate it. Ha What about you? esmittystud101 and Original Light
esmittystud101
I tried to game as well early in the morning before work. But with alot of the games I play you have no pause option so it kinda forces you to play until you feel its safe to save your game. I could of course just quit and it saves auto, but alot of times I'm swarmed with enemies so saving the game is put on hold for a minute. Usually though, I'm so wrapped up in a game, its hard to get off to go to a job in the morning. I try not to game in the morning, that way I always make it to work. This year will be hitting 15 years at the hospital I work at, and its so easy just to call off (like maybe once or twice a year max) because I get paid the same as it I was there. 1800 hours of sick time I've built in that time and I'm sitting on 250 hours of vacation time on top of that. I have thought about injuring myself at times just to get a few months off at work so I could knock out some of these backlogged games I'm sitting on. Sounds ridiculous I know. LOL. Osho
No. I can't even think about gaming early in the morning or before work. Since much of my time goes to exercising and then getting ready for work, so it has really never occurred to me about gaming even if I had time to spare, just not interested in gaming so early when I like to stay as fresh and active as possible before work. Sometimes if I leave the office early then I might game for around an hour or so, if I'm in the mood but normally I can only find time to play during holidays / weekends. Femme Fatale
Sometimes I do play in the mornings, it depends if I'm not sleepy anymore...
Algonquin Assassin
The only time I've ever done that is when it's been a game I've been waiting a long time to get. I got GTA IV at like 7am on release and played it from the moment I got home until about lunch time I think. Other than that I rarely play video games in the morning and definitely not before I go to uni. Infact I prefer playing late afternoon and into the evening even on weekends. Trinette
I can't do this at all. When I wake up I feel like I'm a blank slate, and whatever I experience will have an impact on how I feel through the day. Say if I wake up and I exercise or go straight to work, then I feel like the majority of the day I'll be focused on productivity and there wasn't anything else I did to mentally hinder that productivity. Now say if I wake up and I go straight to gaming or watching tv or whatever else entertainment there is to indulge in, then I feel like I've set myself in a specific kind of mindset, like a 'relaxed' or 'lazy' kind of mood, so trying to get myself to go and get to work becomes a hassle, and then while I'm at work I just think about why I have to be here and how I just want to be lazy as hell all day and it really makes the day drag by. So really I just wake up and have to do things that will fit with what I expect out of the rest of the day. If it's laziness, then I make tea and lie in bed thinking about things and using the internet. If it's productivity then I like to start off with some exercise, maybe cleaning a bit of the house, etc. Edited May 19, 2016 by Trinette Payne Killer, Rougarou and FranklinsIron 3 sometimes. you look very strange. somewhat smiling. a little vain. saying not today. For what you do and environment you work in, you deserve any time off! Hahaha, I've had them thoughts and been in the same position!!! It's horrible, because when I'm at work, want to play games 1000x more! In terms of the blank slate, my foundation is the same but complete different road! Ha ha. I hate (basically obsessed) with having time for myself. Say I leave for work at 8:30, I will get up at 6:00, make a coffee and then lay in bed watching cartoons/play games until 7:45 and by doing so, I feel in control of my own time and pace. I hate waking up and going straight to work, no time to myself, ruins my whole day. And I also stay away (well try to) from Twitter/insta/ in the morning. If I wake up, start scrolling through bullsh*t and watching stupid videos, reality hits and I've lost 40mins. Most off all, negativity. I hear anything negative, see anything negative or anyone communicates to me negatively in the morning, ruins my whole day! They say "first thought when you wake up, sets your mood for the whole day" and I believe that, so go that extra mile and keep negativity away for the whole morning instead. Ha! Fireman
I don't even have mornings. Unless you call 1PM morning. FranklinsIron
Creed Bratton
It sounds like a problem with time management. I used to have that problem. But now I can do whatever I want if I have enough time for it. It won't impact my other activity that's scheduled for later. Unless I hurt myself or something. FranklinsIron
Majestic81
I cant play games when I have work/reason to go out in the morning or in the day. I like to play video games when im relaxed and aint got sh*t to do.. like when I have a holiday or weekends. More fun that way. FranklinsIron
Oh I have terrible time management! BUT, I'm always on time. It's just the inbetween. Just obsessed with giving myself time. Then when I do, I don't, because I'm thinking how much time I have. Just your average weirdo!. Ha.
Mister Pink
Before work, my time is usually utilized and checked down to every minute in preparation for work. I need a certain amount of sleep/brain power to play games, otherwise I wont enjoy them. If I'm tired and I try play FIFA online, say on a Friday after a long week of work, I'll be decimated. If I'm really tired but adamant to play, I might throw on GTA and not do missions but just mess muck about doing my own thing. Some times I intend to play GTA V properly but then I end up dossing about when I realise how tired I am. I remember playing with some guys from here, Zoobz and GTA 5 Informer and I just bombed. It was towards then end of a 10 hour session and I was just so tired any little skill I may have was out the window. I like waking up fresh on a day and playing in the afternoon if I have the time. My mind is usually more clear and I'm able to focus better. I also try to keep gaming as a luxury past-time and not a priority (or a must) as work and other commitments must come first. There's nothing better than playing when you are genuinely sick and off work and/or it's raining out and you've done every thing you needed to do for the day. DimitriFaustin
I almost never play games in the morning before work. The times I do play games depends on what game it is. If it's a game I've completed, I only play for about 30 minutes - 1 hour. If I'm still working on the game, 3 hours max. Always after work, chores and dinner. Shaytan
I really don't like to do so. Not because the stress factor, but because I get easily distracted and I fear I would waste the time I need to get ready (in the morning). I already have to wake up a bit after 6AM to take shower, shave and eat breakfast. I prefer to come home and be able to play a game in peace without having to worry about such stuff. velvetloulou
Lately Im always playing when I get up, usually for 2 hours or so right before I get ready for work. I use to just stay in bed right up until I had to leave trying to get the most sleep possible.
Rebel
Not at all. I have to leave the house by 5:30am to get to work for 6. So the thought of getting up at like 3/4am just to play a video game is not my top priority like, ever. I usually play games in the evening after work for like an hour or two depending on my mood or just watch tv/film. The weekends is pretty much where I'll play if I've got nothing better to do. Especially when I wake up early.
Fuzzknuckles
I wake up at 6am and have to be out of the house by 6:20 to catch a train at 6:40. I would LOVE to have time to play before leaving the house. On the days where I work from home, I take advantage of not having to be up early by gaming till later the night before, and getting up just before I need to start working.
