DerangedCrackhead
Ever sine the Spanish speaking subforum was taken down and the vast majority of threads posted there deleted, the activity of the Spanish speaking community has drastically dropped. The way the International board is currently put together is a mess and really off-putting, in addition, there are some language threads that don't even have activity at all, which kind of make the changes lose their meaning. Given that it used to be quite active before the changes in the International boards and due to the fact that some moderators already hinted at it back then, we've been wondering over the remaining Spanish speaking threads about the possibilitly of bringing back the old Spanish speaking subforum. uNi
We'll bring it back once there's enough activity, there isn't yet. Spanish has about 150 posts, that's way too low to warrant a board.
Nico
We'll bring it back once there's enough activity, there isn't yet. What about the activity it had before the formus changed? We had a lot of threads and it had new posts almost everyday. Spanish has about 150 posts, that's way too low to warrant a board. How many posts there was in the spanish subforum? I'm pretty sure it had way more than 150. You can't expect to keep the same amount of activity if you delete (techincally isn't deleted, just hidden) the vast majority of the community's content. DerangedCrackhead
Indeed, the changes on the board and the hiding of the threads pushed many of the habitual posters off, dropping very significately the activity. By the time the subforum was taken down the activity was definitely increasing and the content exponentially growning.
Kirsty
The first thing I see when I click into the GTA International section is the Spanish threads, and that's because you have 6 dedicated topics as opposed to nearly all of the other countries who only have one. You're right in saying you did have a nice amount of activity when the forums were individual, but where are those people now? If an individual section was needed (and this would apply to any kind of our forums) then threads would be bursting to the point where they need their own space. Are you suggesting people only don't post there now just because they don't have their own special section? That's a bit of a silly reason not to post really and it doesn't convince us that people would bother to go in and post again if we did bring the individual subforums back. In other words, we aren't against it, but we've got to have a reason.
Nico
Kirsty, I think the main reason of why people from the spanish section decreased their activity is because the threads from such section where hidden when everything was merged into one forum. If we can make as much threads as we want in the international section, I think these old hidden threads should be brought back, as well as other hidden threads in other languages. Then, hopefully we could regain some activity. It won't be "our" subforum anymore, but I think it wouldn't hurt anyone.
