Should Rockstar reward launch players with a special t-shirt?

Don't know how to read? OP's pretty much saying R* should reward people that made their character in the first month of GTA Online with a t-shirt for still being active and putting up with their sh*t in said month of having their character deleted due to Cloud problems.

Nah there's enough 'reward' t-shirts if you want to do them - I do like my complete car collection t-shirt. Think the money lift was the best gesture for launch gamers who basically trialled the online game for R*.

No. And I'm a day one player, yet say no. All exclusive stuff is bullsh*t. Just start a crew or something. Call it DAY1 and make your own. Everyone you meet will be suitable impressed.

After playing through GTA Online's various technical issues during launch, I think we veterans deserve some sort of recognition. I recall spending hours running Simeon and Gerald missions for a measly $2000-$9000 each, just to load back into freemode and lose it all paying for $2000 hospital bills. I finally saved enough cash for an apartment and the next day Rockstar's cloud servers ate my character for breakfast. I had to make a new one and everything. It was terrible.

Reward them all with thongs. Then the guys that show up in heists wearing only their underwear have another outfit. Nothing says protection like thongs and underwear.

There weren't many that did. I'm glad that stat got transferred.

I think the cloud wipe messed with my character unfortunately because sometimes my characters hair will glitch occasionally.

 

I also remember getting on and having no character at one point so i got off and didnt touch the game for quite some time.

Aye. I as well and with how the Cloud was back then, I just made a new character. Despite being there for launch, my character was made on the 7th.

R* is done supporting alpha version on old consoles so don't expect any more rewards for buying demo. Returning player content is way too much already.
I'm sad they keep wasting resources on beta version on newer consoles instead of dropping it and focusing on PC where they could make proper updates.
