Should Rockstar reward launch players with a special t-shirt?

  1. 1. Should Rockstar reward October 2013 players?

    • Yes, it's only fair after all they've been through.
    • I don't think so.

I'm sorry, did I miss the "I don't give a f*ck" poll option?

I didn't put that option.

I think that option is an automatic selection by all the GTAF members who don't click on the topic in the first place :p

1 click = 1 f*ck

Well, I don't agree with exclusive items you can't get any other way but well, it's just a t-shirt so I don't see much of a deal.

I do agree launch players deserve to be rewarded, after all it's mostly thanks to them the game became such an huge success, but like I argued previously about the returners exclusive content and the exclusive cars avaliable for a limited time, I think players should all be able to get the same items so I usually defend large sums of in-game cash as rewards, but again, just a t-shirt sounds fine for me.

I said yes but only because I'm a GTA T-shirt collector so any excuse to get another works for me.

My main character managed to keep his Oct. 1 creation date, so I'll always have that.

While the first month was a bit of a disaster, we did get the $500k (which wasn't two groups of $250k, like they said it was going to be) but we also had access to all sorts of glitches and exploits like the LSC Glitch that took no effort. We also had races and missions tha paid better than they ever did again.

Still, I wouldn't turn down another shirt

I'm a day one player too, and I think it's a sh*tty idea.

You already get OG T-shirts for transferring.

I personaly rather have an elite heavy utility vest for doing elites and heists

Wearing one of the elite t-shirts when heisting is rarely a great idea

On top of that....i realy feel like there shoud be unique chains for around someones neck for achievements like earning 10 mil, earning 100 mil, doing the criminal mastermind challenge and having 1000 and 10 000 headshots.

I rather wear clothes showing off skills and achievements then showing off me being somewhere around a sertain period.

Edit: especialy since the early days sucked and it kinda was a thing of luck to have and keep a day 1 character

If not for modded accounts on last gen, I'd be all over more level locked content. Leveling up past 150 serves no purpose.

Double RP event weekend you say? Who cares? RP is as useful to me now as dirt.

When the shark cards t shirt came up the thread got locked and deleted with a ton of special snowflakes.

This one stays and a lot of support, Cancerous community.

Why vote no? It's new content in the game and it doesn't affect you at all.

Weird position to take. *shrug*

For returnung players, this would make sense.

For day one players? It's not like these people are superior. I had the game since day one but didn't touch online til half a year later.

Rockstar made the same amount of money off my purchase as someone else who bought the game. Its not like being one of the first to play the game was nessesary.

Sounds like a way to get something that new players can never get, in order to say "LOOK AT ME", because Mummy isn't paying enough attention.

Asking for this t-shirt is the equivalent of playing near the road.

No Use For A Name

You want a reward for playing the game longer? Seriously?

Your reward is you got to play a fun game for longer than others have

Rockstar doesn't owe you a shirt or a reward for being here since launch, if you played a beta GTA Online, the only thing they owe us is decent matchmaking.

I'm a day 1 player and disagree, why should R* create a special T for us?

I voted 'No' for we aren't entitled to anything special.

And R* already tipped it's hat to returning players with extra content, like the Dodo Seaplane for instance.

yeah but we got 500k which is much better than some lousy t-shirt

at the time those 500k felt like a lot money hahaha

now we talk about a million this, a million that, dropping 2million on a single car, when back in the day the adder at a mere $1million felt out of reaching.

Oh my god yeah. I remember when the game came out and we had goals to reach that adder. And if you had that adder, you were the man in that lobby. Everyone seemed to be friendlier.

I chose Yes in the poll, just because tee shirts are terrific!

However, I won't bother listing the rewards I've received from this game.

GTA$, not withstanding, the ability to change the game, at my whim, has been worth every cent I spent on it, initially.

For examples:
• motorcycle stunting: I spend hours and entire sessions just jumping around on my motorcycles.
• exploring: riding through the landscape just looking at stuff – hours, man... hours!
• flying: spending a session just tooling around from rooftop to rooftop, shooting things, going wherever.
• deep sea'ing: if you don't have or use a Kraken at least once in a while, you are really missing a fantastic toy. Great when wearing a Bounty.
• fist fighting: I can't tell you how many multi-player brawls I've been in just by taunting other players via the mic that "I'm going to kick your butt in a fist fight!" Everyone jumps in!

Beyond that, the rewards of Missions, Racing, Heists, Parachuting, etc. etc. is so far beyond anything that was available when I was young in the 1960's.
The primary reason why the only game I play is GTA and honestly, I'm not even very good at it – I just seem to have more fun than anyone else! :)

Cheers!

Nope, they got their money from you day 1, and now they don't give f*ck about you. They'd rather have you buy a $100,000 gold t shirt that everyone can pay for rather than do something special for the early adopters. That's important programming time that can be used to churn out more Adversary mode updates.

You do realize you can do all of that in Singleplayer with all the wildlife and particle effects intact without worrying about griefers and random disconnections, right?

Your experience is basically cut in half because of the restrictions Online has, dude, Singleplayer exists for you to have your own fun for the exact reasons you provided.

I don't think I specified single player or online. Either way, I don't worry about "griefers" and random disconnections happen in real life (cell phones, tv, people).

I don't see how my experiences have been cut in half, at all, but I'll agree that single player is almost as much fine as online, except when you add real-life other players, it's well... better. :)
