Just bought this game today. Now i'm worried.

I've been wanting to play this game for months but just recently got it. The more I read about it, the more I'm worrying that I won't enjoy it.

 

I have 0 friends on xbox. I'm a stay at home mother and I often go away from the controller for long periods of time, plus I can't really stay online for very long periods of time when my husband is away.

 

What I've read about GTA V is that it's no fun unless you run with friends. My question is will I still be able to advance and play the game completely with out any friends?

You can have plenty of fun on your own, passive mode will keep you safe when you have to go do mom stuff and there are tons of activities you can complete (i.e. all of 'em ) with randoms and get high in rank. I'm a father and I only really game once a week, still a blast.

I mostly play solo and I have a lot of fun. You'll probably make friends as you play I've made 10 friends just doing jobs and a bit of freeroam and that's just the one I have added back.

Friends aren't necessary for a videogame

 

Just do whatever you want and you will level up eventually

If you make it obvious that you're a female, you will get tons of friend notifications and crew invites

But mostly from 12 year olds, lel

 

But yea it's possible, and friends will come eventually. I didn't have any either but after playing for a while and being friendly to people, they start adding you.

I believe there's a section on this site where you can ask people if they'd like to play with you if you're looking for that. Also, like Alien said, it's possible to advance on your own. I've honestly been doing that for the past few months since my friends really don't play anymore.

This is a good place to meet other xboxers.

 

Stop on by here and see if we fit, many if not most of us have children and are grown-ass adults. So we get the "lifestyle."

Women who choose to play GTA Online, you're in for a lot of clothes/car shopping. My girlfriend liked that role-playing when she first tried online, and she would purchase new outfits every day she'd play. I suggest playing invite only sessions, try to build up your rank doing races or contact missions, doing this will ensure that you can make money and unlock new items. Don't trust public sessions.

Yeah, there is no need to have actual friends playing GTA. There is a ton of stuff to do, and very little in the way of actual story, so if you have to have a weeks pause (can be hard ) you don't need to worry that you forget something.
