Problem is the adder was hated from the start because it was the original douchebag car, but it people still hated it after the kids moved on to the zentorno and then the t20. It is bollocks though that the Regina and ingot are set to last longer than two brilliant cars.

 

Who died and put you in charge of telling people what cars they can and can't like? The Adder is overrated or was, I'll grant you, and mine is more a trophy for rare occasions, but the Zentorno is one of the best handling cars in the game, which is why I use it frequently, as ugly as it is. Guess I'm both a "kid" and a "douchebag"

He did not say that the Adder, Zentorno or T20 are better/worse then each other, but explained the origins of why they've become successively hated on over the years. People go from the biggest/fastest/most expensive car to the next - at first the Adder, then the Zentorno and now the T20. There is no reason to hate on any of these cars other than they've been OVER popularized - that's the ironic voting mentality of this thread.

also few people own ubermachts....for understandable reasons(i just own the zion for racing....great car...but yea, if i have to chose, ubermacht is way to high)

I actually like all three of the cars I mentioned. I'm just saying they've all had plenty of hate just for being popular. I'm not saying only douchebags drive these cars, but when a car becomes popular the douches are always going to jump on the bandwagon.

The Bugatti Veyron in real life tends to get a good amount of hate too, I've seen.

 

Truffade's probably taking a beating since people see the Adder as ugly. Much like how a lot of the hate for the real life Veyron is because of its aethestics (even more so when rappers and other celebrities make it look like...something I would drive in GTA Online).

Personally I don't think the Adder looks that good but that's just my own opinion. Most ugly cars are from brands that feature other awesome cars so it's a bit unfair to downvote them just because of the ugly sister.

Sure, Truffade isn't one of my favourites either. There are at least a dozen brands which are a lot less bling-hateful than Truffade and deserve to win, but this is my argument against downvoting Truffade out of the competition.

 

Truffade only has two cars - the Adder and Z-Type, which are both top-of-the-range cars from their respective eras. There are no duffers in the Truffade collection, there are no Dilettantes, Aseas, Stratums, FQ2s, to bring the collection down.

I don't care at all for truffade, but yeah there are many far worse brands that should go first. It seems to me that there's a lot of people around here that were very unpopular kids, and they were unpopular because they made every effort to be weird and different. So they resent anything popular, and still try to be "unique". Not that there can't be other reasons for hating on certain brands, I have a lot of hate for a lot of brands myself. Lol. I just don't know how else you explain the Scrotum, RMP, Molotov cocktail, etc.

OMG, you're right. I've got a Daemon on my first character, and a Daemon and Bagger on my second. What went wrong? I supplied the list...at the end of the Radio Station Elimination Game. Then it was modified. Two weeks later it was posted at the end of the Thrown Weapons Elimination Game. Two weeks after that, when the Public Lobby thread ended, the list was re-posted and modified again. Braulio helped by adding two brands to the list. The last game ended on Page 33 but the thread continued to Page 40 purely so we could have a democratic decision on what brands should be included, what the next game should be, how it should be run, so much so that a poll was added/modified.

 

The last game started off where the list wasn't settled and people felt they had no say in it. The whole process for this game was designed to make it as open as possible. My idea was to place all the brands in a poll and then we vote for our favorite 20 in the poll; then eliminate the final 20. Options can be added to a poll without issue, so if a name was missed, it wouldn't be such an issue to add it. But the people had a different format in mind and we did that.

 

So when I see posters coming to the thread 7 pages in asking where's XYZ brand, what can I say? There was a time to speak your peace. I've said in the OP and here and now (again) that the list may not reflect everything. I admit that. But because the game is now live, any other brands can easily be added to a future game.

I don't give a f*ck if two years ago the Adder was the ultimate status symbol and as such was driven by everyone and customised poorly for the most part, my Adder looks good and is the most fun super to drive in my opinion. I like a car that slides around a little.

 

I'm giving a downvote to Willard as although I do like the Faction there are two problems with it. Firstly, a minor issue that the power bulge hood isn't available for some arbitrary reason and secondly and significantly, I believe it's still got the physics issue with curbs which is simply ridiculous. I sold mine a while ago so my bad if it's been fixed but I haven't heard it has.

Also, just for my own curiosity, does anyone follow the timeline of these skits? There is a story to these, you know.

Well, there was lot of indecision before the game got going, on the best way to include so many vehicles (41) so an improvised and incomplete list was used, originally supplied by Brauli. Bad Brauli

 

Wrong. As you can see that list has 54 brands in total, including the ones that only have unstorable vehicles and bikes.

People thought there were way too many brands, so I made another list without brands that only had unstorable vehicles or bikes.

 

And while we're here, I've seen some people upvoting Mammoth, for example, because the Hydra is made by them or Pegassi because of their bikes but the game is only about storable car brands, so while I think it's incorrect to do so, we can't really stop them. Just sharing my opinion.

To answer your question, I'm not sure if others keep track of your skits, but I certainly do. In my opinion, they make this elimination game much more entertaining, and adds some spice to it.
